I like to sleep with the drone sound of a fan at night and I have the fan plugged into this outlet. I control it with my Google Home device. I like to watch TV or read while I'm winding down and when I'm ready to go to sleep, I just give the command, "OK Google, turn on the box fan" and voila, it turns it on so I don't have to get out of bed.

This one works as advertised

The insignia plug would not stay connected to Alexa. The TP link smart plug was easy to set up (after setting up a KASA account) and it has worked with Alexa ever since.

Nice smart plug

The set up was easy on my Google phone. I like the Kasa APP and the 'Away' feature is handy, it let's you set a time frame where the plug goes on/off randomly to simulate someone being at home. I haven't had any problems with it disconnecting. It would be nice to see more features in the Kasa APP, for one thing a graph of on/off times. Also, it would be nice if TP-Link had a way to control from my PC instead of just a phone or tablet.

Love my New KASA smart plug!

Instruction is very easy and easy to understand. Use it on my Christmas lights and front yard decor that come on every night automatically makes it more convenient for me and enjoy it every time I got off from work and see my front yard looks nice and bright. Best option for smart outlets

These are rated to handle 15 amps so use one with our electric fireplace (I checked the amperage with a meter to make sure the appliance was within tolerance). Great device.
