You dont think you’ll need one until you’re setup. Now i have plugs for all rooms and lighting. If you have a multi story home, or kids and you only are limited to two hands while needing to juggle an extra trip up and down the stairs, this will save you the time and the energy. It’s ok, exercise is for the treadmill. Use the same smart plug to pair with your alexa or google home.

Simple, convenient and reliable. No issues with linking to Google Home. Would buy again.

The TP-Link Smart Plug Mini is great for controlling lights, lamps, or other appliances or electronics that you often find yourself turning on or off. I use mine to control a lamp that does not have a switch (just a plug), which saves me time and energy digging behind furniture to turn the lamp off when not in use. It’s a simple tool, and it’s very easy to install and use with your favorite smarthome hub. I use mine with an Echo Plus and have never had any issues! It’s very fast and responsive.

Very reliable device. It is also very easy to setup with the TP-Link and Amazon Apps.

Picked these up for $15 each, purchased 2 and went back for 3 more after setting up the first two. Easy to do. I have a 2.5 and 5 Ghz network and just set my phone to the 2.5 while configuring them. It was very straightforward and easy. Justed the for Christmas lights, probably will only use 2 or 3 the other time of the year. Setup a skill with Alexia to turn on and off "Christmas". Would recommend. They do make a clicking sound when turning on and off and sometimes runs a little slow with Alexia. Some reviews noted a high pitch buzzing, I had one doing it, I couldn't hear it but both my wife and daughter did, they said it was painful. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, fixed to problem. Wish I could turn that "feature" on and off.

Great little plug that is a breeze to set up. Works great with Alexa. We use it for our hliday decorations, and it's much easier to tell Alexa to shut off the lights then to climb behind then tree where the switch is.

Tolink smart plug was easy to set up and install. Although not needed, was very easy to make work with Amazon Alexa.

I have several of these tp-link smart plugs and they all work great. They are very simple to set up. Just be aware that I did try to contact customer service regarding a software issue, which I eventually resolved, and got the impression that they are not very capable. I am not deducting anything for this, since the hardware is great, the software seems to be very good, and I didn't get to the point where my case was escalated. There may be better support further on up the chain.

This smart plug is amazing. Easy to set up and works perfectly with Echo dot. I use it to turn the lights off and on outside.

I wanted it to work with Google Home, so I would not have another app just to manage a plug. It works on Google Home but you must first get it working with Kasa app (including setting up a Kasa account), then add it to your Google Home. Google Home just allows on/off (at least for now), where as Kasa app has timers etc. I might use the Kasa app if I install more of these, since it's a pretty useful toy.

I love this device. It was so easy to conect to my home internet. We used it on a living room lamp so we could turn it on and off remotely while we were away on vacatiom. The app is so user friendly, and the plug also synced up to our Alexa very easily as well(even though you dont need Alexa to use it,just your phone). Dont think about this; just get it. Its only 10 bucks!.

These plugs are great. They connect well to an Alexa. Pretty good price!
