Thank you for your review. The Kasa Spot Pan and Tilt cameras are designed for use with 2.4GHz WiFi, which is common in virtually all WiFi routers. We recommend making sure the camera is set up in an area where your router's 2.4GHz WiFi signal is sufficiently strong.
For detailed instructions, we recommend following the steps outlined in our FAQ here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1957/

Poor quality camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is poor quality. When we viewed the camera from the mobile app, we heard loud high pitch noises. It’s also almost impossible to control the camera motion from the mobile app - it wouldn’t move in the right direction.

Awesome camera for the price!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little sceptical and hesitant, but this thing blew me away, the image quality is great, and its features like "patrol" and motion are awesome. I did struggle a little with the wifi signal during the setup, but just have patience and let it do its thing. Overall it's a great add on camera, I would recommend it

Worked for 2 weeks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed. I purchased to monitor my house from a different state. I set the camera up, (easy setup) worked great for a couple of weeks. I was able to watch over my house for one day from out of state. Now my camera is offline and will not reconnect. There is no way to get it to work if you are not there. So much for monitoring my home with the Kasa. Thankfully, I have a less expensive camera that is monitoring the front of my property. It is working great and is still online. Too bad I can't return it. I am out of state for 6 months.

FEEDBACK!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Audio seems to be always on regardless of settings. When viewing the camera on your television or your devices, you have to turn down the volume before viewing the camera or you be greeted by very loud feedback, especially if you or your television are anywhere near the camera.,, Mine did not do this when it was first setup, only after updating to version 2.20.0 Cant seem to get a straight answer from anyone about this issue. NOT HAPPY

Posted .Hi,
Thank you for your review. We hear your concerns, and we will be happy to help shed some light on your experience. When a device with a microphone (i.e. the camera) is near a device that is streaming the audio that is being picked up by the camera's microphone, this can potentially create a loopback effect, as the camera is picking up the audio from the TV, which is then being streamed to the TV, then picked back up by the camera from the TV's speakers, creating an audio loop effect.
In your case, we recommend ensuring the volume on the TV is low enough, or the TV is far enough from the camera to avoid this audio loop. Our Support Team is always happy to answer any questions you might have about our products. Please feel free to e-mail [email protected] and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly.
