    I have 5 Kasa smart plugs and 2 light bulbs but this switch was a nightmare. After going through lots of troubleshooting, mainly to do with the neutral wire and getting it up and running, it worked okay for 2 days and then just stopped working. Then I looked up issues with it and found there are lots of problems with them, one of them being a weird issue like having too strong a wifi signal coming to it. I replaced it with an Intermatic light switch timer and called it a day. If you can get it to work you will probably love it so in that respect it's probably worth a shot.

      Hi,

      We always recommend ensuring your router's WiFi signal is adequately strong in the smart device's location. Within the Kasa Smart app there's a feature that allows you to measure WiFi signal strength of your smart devices. When the app is connected, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu.

      If the signal is within the ideal range and you're still experiencing these symptoms, please ensure your Kasa Smart app is up to date, then update your smart device's firmware using the steps in our FAQ: http://www.tp-link.com/us/faq-1256.html

    Annoying to install if you don’t know electrical well, didn’t even work on my light switch in my room cause it’s too old apparently despite not being an old house or outlet, dont recommend, smart light bulbs are better
