The instructions were not helpful and it took forever to get set up to my wifi. I have been using it for about 2 months (after one day it magically decided to work) and it just stopped connecting to my wifi. Every day I have to go back in and reconnect it and it only works for about 20 minutes.

We always recommend ensuring your router's WiFi signal is adequately strong in the smart device's location. Within the Kasa Smart app there's a feature that allows you to measure WiFi signal strength of your smart devices. When the app is connected, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu.
If the signal is within the ideal range and you're still experiencing these symptoms, please ensure your Kasa Smart app is up to date, then update your smart device's firmware by selecting Home → Settings → Firmware Update within the Kasa app.

If you find the fit to be a tad too snug, we suggest optimizing the wiring behind the switch and inside the box. If it still does not fit, one option may be to contact a licensed electrician to install a larger switch box than the one currently in place.

Poor Performance

ALL other wifi devices work fine, this one disconnects, then works again. Sometimes it works only with App on phone, but Google Home cannot connect, other times all good. Cheap design, first one failed due to the bottom screw flexes the base, causes the reset button to remain depress. Will never buy again.
