    It took a bit to figure out how to wire them and then how to get Alexa to mate with them but now we just love them and we have a total of 9 switches in our home

    Worked great for a couple months, now will not get a connection or if it does, loses it in a few days. Seeing how cheap the price is compared to other switches, maybe there's a reason!

    Keeps disconnecting

    It worked fine for a few weeks and then started disconnecting from the wifi. I had to keep reconnecting it all the time. I finally gave up and now it’s just a regular lightswitch.

      Hi,

      We always recommend ensuring your router's WiFi signal is adequately strong in the smart device's location. Within the Kasa Smart app there's a feature that allows you to measure WiFi signal strength of your smart devices. When the app is connected, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu.

      If the signal is within the ideal range and you're still experiencing these symptoms, please ensure your Kasa Smart app is up to date, then update your smart device's firmware by selecting Home → Settings → Firmware Update within the Kasa app.

    This switch requires being connected to an Iris hub, But the hub does not reach the switch which is on the bottom floor of our house but right below it. We ended up using a switch that connects to the Kasa network And it worked just fine

    Great switches with wifi capability. This item does require connecting the neutral, hot, and ground for it to function.

    Not apartment friendly as it requires uninstalling current switch & replacing. Wiring/Rewiring would be required if you purchased this item. Ideal for your own home, tho.

Installing any light switch in the location of an existing light switch will require removal the existing switch, as well as installation and re-wiring of the new switch. This is an industry standard for all light switches and is not exclusive to smart light switches or Kasa products.

    Wanted to control; my outdoor lights, however my home is not wired with the required number of wires. Still looking for a wi fi wall switch that can work.

      - 2 Hot Wires (Line & Load)
      - Neutral Wire
      - Single Pole Switch
