- Two hot wires (Line & Load)

Easy to install, even for me

The install was easier than expected and the setup was a breeze with the companion app. Adding it to my Google home and controlling it with my home mini was also very simple. I will be adding more of these to my home in the near future. The only thing I would like to see added is one that could control double switch like the one in my bedroom where one switch controls lights and the other controls the fan. All in all it is a good product and does what it says very well.

If you're not confident, have someone that is familiar with electricity and installation of electric devices help you. These are great additions if you want to automate your outdoor lights for security. They configure easily, work great with Alexa, and fit into most décor. They respond very quickly whether in the Kasa app or via Alexa. Highly recommended.

I have installed this single pole switch as well as the three way switches in my home. They have been easy to install with great instructions on the app. The Amazon Echo intergration is great with the ability to setup groups. I can just say "Turn on downstairs" and multiple rooms turn on at the same time. If I had to complain about anything so far it would be that it would be nice if they were in rocker form instaed of a wide switch. Finding wall plates to match my switch configurion in some rooms has been slightly problamatic.

Thank you for your review. The HS200 does not require Smart Bulbs in the fixture controlled by the switch. In fact, it is generally recommended against using a smart light switch in tandem with smart bulbs, as this would introduce hardware redundancies and potentially cause conflicts. Instead, it is best to use non-smart bulbs with a smart light switch. Similarly, smart bulbs should be used with non-smart switches and fixtures.

Please also ensure your smartphone is not connected to a VPN during setup, as this may interfere with the installation process.

This offers many simple conveniences that make it worth acquiring. My favorite use is when I'm in bed about to go to sleep, I don't need to get up and walk to the switch. It's very relaxing and comforting to be able to turn the lights off for the night all from the comfort of my bed. Great "Kasa" app interface allowing smooth integration with Alexa or through my phone. I'm slowly replacing all of the switches throughout the house. I set the one in my bedroom to come on every morning with my wake up alarm and then off an hour later (in case I forget) When away on vacation I have my lights go on and off to simulate occupancy. When I climb into bed at night I just tell Alexa "turn off my light" The ultimate in luxurious laziness. :)
