EZ smart switch

Youtube search for wiring hookup that can be confusing. We had our patio light switch for porch in the garage.. now we can tell alexa to turn on/off.. Works like a charm, just make sure your WIFI doesn't suck..

Easy to install wireless switch

Easy Way to Ensure the Porch Light is Off/On

But also as a means to ensure the porch light would get turned on or off when the kids left. The setup was harder than it should be but it worked well with Alexa. I had the unit for 5 months then it just stopped working. I understand things can break, but this was much too soon, even for a light switch. I called TP-Link customer service and after having to go through a number of steps I had done many times myself, they replaced the unit. So far, so good. App is lacking.

Decent product for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Given that this is a basic On/Off network controlled switch, I think it does a pretty decent job. You have to know that it just turns On/Off your light(s) from either the switch itself, from the phone/tablet application, or based on a schedule you set up. It does allow you to create different schedules for different days, which can create the illusion that you are home and turning On/Off the lights at "random" times. It also integrates with third party IoT devices such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home which could allow you to create very basic If/Then programming, but only the most basic of logic commands. Good for what it is though.
