Great smart plugs but setup requires tapo app

We used them with holiday lights and for lamps that my family continually forgets to turn off. Just be aware that while they are compatible with Google Home and other smart home apps, you still need to set them up initially with the Tapo app. I had hoped I wouldn’t have to add yet another app for yet another smart device. I do control the plugs from my Google home app most of the time but for scheduling and advanced features you need the Tapo app. The Tapo app has useful scheduling options, including one for turning lights on-off randomly while you’re traveling.

No Brainer

It works great. I tried several other WiFi plugs and they all were returned. As far as my opinion this is a no brainer.

Easy setup straight out of the box use home app to setup. Compact size leaves room for other plug or appliances to be plugged in. Neat and functional product so far!

Wifi outlets

I uaed one for ny electric fire place, ao that it turns on and off though out the day. And the other 2 ia for my reading lamp and desk lamp. Its just been very convenient to be able to turn it on with my iphone/siri. I uae home bridge to connect my IOTs

Dont remove those QR codes on the plug, it helps you set it up. You set up the device using google home or alexia. Ill buy more in the future.
