Thank you for your review. Our smart plugs are designed for quick and easy setup using the Tapo app. If you're having difficulty connecting them to your network during setup, please ensure your router's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently strong at the smart device's location.
Please also ensure your smartphone is not connected to a VPN during setup, as this may interfere with installation.

Makes a great Christmas light timer

Works perfectly with Apple Homekit

I did not use nor download the Tapo app but instead added them directly into the Home app via Matter. It was absolutely a painless process that took only about 2 minutes each. Now we just need to see if they are dependable over time.

No problems at all. It now turns on a lamp when I wake up and turns it off when I leave. It is simple and doesn’t require 4 accounts or a subscription to use. I bought 3 more.
