The mobile app isn't very robust but you are still able to add a schedule for the smart plug. I don't even use the Widget functionality because it's not easy to figure out. I've had zero connection or any issues and would buy again.

If you set it up for a certain time it will turn off in 4 hours. The other option, set it up for a certain time to turn on and then you have to manually turn it off.

Buyer Beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Will not connect to HomeKit. I know tplink will respond with 2.4ghz wifi and yada yada. I have 7 APs, and over 300 IoT devices, 22 homepods, 3 applets, 6 computers, 8 iPads, 2 iPhones, 2 vision pros and I am also a certified network engineer. Only these tp-links could not connect to homekit. In addition, after attempting to connect, it screwed up all our thread devices and had to wait over 2 hours while the thread network rebuilt. The bottom line, this product does not fit with homekit. I gave tp-link a try about 10 years ago and that product was a failure also. I guess giving them a chance 10 years later has shown that they still do not produce quality products. Returning ours to best buy.

Does not work with Apple HomeKit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not get these devices to connect to apple HomeKit even with help from tp-link support. Both Best Buy and tp-link say it is supported. They are matter devices and are supposed to connect to Apple Home using a Matter Enabled hub (Apple TV 4K with current software) without using an app. This did not work. I was able to connect using the Tapo App, which lets you control the plug with Siri if you set it up, but you lose the benefits of integration with other devices on Apple Home.
