    I really like them BUT…I didn’t realized I had to create a TP Link account and download the TP link app to set them up, I read they were Alexa compatible and just assumed they would connect to Alexa trough my existing account. After set up they do sync with Alexa automatically and can be used with the hub or Alexa app, I just hated having to keep track of an other account and password

    These smart plugs replaced an older one that no longer worked on my network. One problem with these -- as well as other smart items -- is that there are no clear instructions about something in particular. You have to set these up within HomeKit and NOT with the plug's own app. If you set it up with the app that is made for the plug, you can't set it up in HomeKit. So set it up within HomeKit first to get it to work properly with it.

    They work pretty much exactly as you'd expect. Set them up through Google home, and also added them to home assistant for more local control. Only thing I wish it had was power monitoring. Keep in mind these are matter over wifi not thread.

    Love the ease of items turning on and off on a schedule. These are simple to you in the ap. Just wish they weren’t so bulky.

    I’m so happy that matter is a project and it has gained support from all the major players. The setup was a breeze using Apple Home and I only imagine the same for other smart home apps. It only took 5 minutes to setup all 3, no apps to install, no logins to remember. Matter, matters!

    A wonderful little smart plug that works great for my 3D printer. I can just turn it on and shut it off whenever I'm not home. My only gripe is that it requires you to have the tapo app to set up and then you can delete it after it's set up and connected to Google home. Other than that, it's a wonderful product

    The TP-Link Smart Wi-Fi plugs are awesome. They are very easy to set up and programming on / off times is a breeze. We use these for energy conservation as well as to make the house lived in while we’re away.
