I can just turn it on and shut it off whenever I'm not home. My only gripe is that it requires you to have the tapo app to set up and then you can delete it after it's set up and connected to Google home. Other than that, it's a wonderful product

Flexible application for possibly hundreds of uses. Highly recommend if you are in the market for this type of device.

The setup was a breeze using Apple Home and I only imagine the same for other smart home apps. It only took 5 minutes to setup all 3, no apps to install, no logins to remember. Matter, matters!

Set them up through Google home, and also added them to home assistant for more local control. Only thing I wish it had was power monitoring. Keep in mind these are matter over wifi not thread.

But I needed them so I kept them. Easy to set up and the app also integrates any Kasa plugs you might already own. It's been a couple of weeks now and I haven't noticed any issues.
