One problem with these -- as well as other smart items -- is that there are no clear instructions about something in particular. You have to set these up within HomeKit and NOT with the plug's own app. If you set it up with the app that is made for the plug, you can't set it up in HomeKit. So set it up within HomeKit first to get it to work properly with it.

Right now our Christmas tree is plugged in. So nice telling Google to turn the tree on. Will definitely purchase more.

It was seamless, took less than a minute to set up. Device also self-updated the software. No my regular floor lab is part of the smart home set up.
