I wanted to be able to control the light in my room if I could not walk to turn it on. I love this even after the surgery to command my lamp to turn on when I am trying to stumble into my room at night.

While remote, the 2 plugs disconnected from the matter network and did not auto-reconnect. Once back, I'll replace with my standard KASA wifi plugs which will auto-reconnect. I would still recommend if you use for local use only.
