I did not use nor download the Tapo app but instead added them directly into the Home app via Matter. It was absolutely a painless process that took only about 2 minutes each. Now we just need to see if they are dependable over time.

No problems at all. It now turns on a lamp when I wake up and turns it off when I leave. It is simple and doesn’t require 4 accounts or a subscription to use. I bought 3 more.
