So far it is working for what I needed to extend my wi-fi signal from my router down two floors for my ring camera.

I needed an extension for my home modem, and this fit the bill exactly. Was very easy to install and set up and it has been working flawlessly since it was put in. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing to extend the range of their personal modem in their home.

It does make it better than when I didn't have one, but it's only going to improve on the speed you have in your system.

Great! Didn’t think it would increase my coverage in my house, but it certainly did. Drawback is that you have to change your wireless connection to that of the extender to take advantage of the extended area.

I needed to Connect a wired ethernet device to the internet by connecting to a cellular WiFI hotspot. The TP-Link Range Extender can be configured as a Wifi Bridge and it allowed me to connect my device to my cell. The app took a minute to set up, but it was easy to use. The device has been working flawlessly for over 3 months at the time of this review.

It seemed our Internet reception in our living room was becoming worse and worse, to the point that a streamed movie would play a few seconds, buffer, play, buffer. So I did a search to learn about range extenders and found TP-Link were always listed as one of the top brands. Of the models reviewed, the RE505X was the one my local Best Buy had in stock, so I headed off to get one. I followed the quick setup guide, connected with the app I downloaded to my phone and the extender found my WiFi just fine. First thing I did was sit down and watch a streamed movie, not one hiccup or buffer thru out several hours of viewing. I did notice, however, the next night I was getting some buffering, so I moved the Chromecast from the 5G WiFi to the 2.4G and it's been happy ever since. For the $80 this cost me, I'm very pleased with it's performance. I would definitely recommend!

It appeared to work pretty good and help with my connection, but was hard to figure out how to actually do the connection. Difficult to understand the procedures.

Helped get rid of a dead spot on my porch. Has been a great purchase so far and takes up no space just an outlet. Easy to set up using WPS. Instructions were great and gave me some usefull ideas of where to place it rather than my first hunch. TV's have also looked much better.

After opening this extender up, I was hoping it would just be plug and play, and it is if your router is already setup properly. My WPS switch was off and could only be turned on through the software. After I got it on, setup was a breeze. Not much of a need to be technically inclined. I absolutely recommend if you get this extender, to download the TP Link app onto your phone and create an account. It will allow you to switch this device from repeater to extender based on your needs. It comes already in repeater mode.

In a house that is all brick from the 30s. This came in super handy. The modem lives on the second floor on the far east side of the house. I was able to put this in my office downstairs to boost the WiFi to get to our master bedroom!

It works most of the time, it has helped me connect the devices that are far downstains from the modem, the signal sometimes is stable and some other times it will disconnect but that might be an issue with the wifi in the house because the house is made of concrete, which makes it hard to the reception to be sent across rooms

Great extender and easy setup. Needed more coverage in the backyard to listen to music by the firepit. Plugged in this unit inside close to the back door. Solved the issue!
