We use this as an extender but you can use it to make a 2.4ghz band into a 5ghz band. It works great for both purposes. The app really helps as it can help you find the best places to plug it into an outlet for best performance.

Exactly what I needed for my work laptop and isolating the connectivity via VPN extending it out just a tad for stability. Perfect perfection. I used to ChatGPT instructions to connect. Works like a breeze.

Had this product for 2 years now. Works great and is the 3rd one I run in my house. With the main rotor and 2 of these devices my WIFI goes all the way outside to my back yard and side patio. Also runs exterior Ring cameras.

The device found a signal with no effort and I'm in an area where that seems difficult. I haven't been able to use my cell phone in the living room and using my laptop just a room away (in a small condo) from where my hub is was iffy. Streaming to my TV ... not happening. Therefore, I was happy when after pairing next to the hub, I was able to move the TP-Link to my hallway. I had a good connection on both bands within a minute. Results: I can use my cell phone sitting on my couch and I have a good signal at my dining room table (MacBook pro). --------- I had to do some finagling to establish the link to my hub to begin with. This is an Apple AirPort (model is about 8 years old, attached to an 8 year old iMac). Some persistence and I had a connection established but I'm fairly adept at setting up Macs including dealing with permissions, etc. I don't know if it's the age of the AirPort (and computer) or that Apple devices can sometimes present a challenge, as opposed to a PC environment. At any rate, I did get it set up and working, so all's well.

Easy to use and install. The app is solid and the signal strength has been excellent. Used with two different internet providers and the extender has worked well with both.

Not bad for the price, works as advertised. My wife used it for her home office videoconferencing.

Awesome range extender. My tv's upstairs no longer have any issues connecting to the internet or loading videos. The setup was simple and easy.

Seems to work pretty well for the money in our reverse story and a half home.

Still going strong after many years. After changing internet providers, it was easy to research and set up under new internet.

Works really well, speed slows down fairly significantly, but for watching YouTube or accessing the internet on my wireless devices this does the trick. It extends my wifi all the way out to the street. I live with someone who doesn’t have cellular data and he’s never offline.

Device works great and was easy to set up! Me being an older person and not very tech savvy was able to install with ease. Great product!

There’s no interruption with the signal despite placing the extender on two different floors. When the power went out, it immediately reconnected with the main router when the power was back. I connected my ps5 and so far, everything is great.

At first, I had a little issue trying to set it up. Until I realized that I was doing something wrong. Once I got it up and running, it has had ZERO connectivity issues and translates my internet plan speed at full(as if it was my main router). Excellent for gaming, working!!!

I needed a simple fix to boost my Wi-Fi signal, and the TP Link was a very cost-effective way to do this. I followed the instructions (yeah, I'm a guy. So what) and had my TV working with no problems in just a few moments. I am very happy with the results.

It solved my issue of my computer disconnecting from the router which was quite annoying but when I bought this product and connected it directly to the router the problems like freezing, disconnecting, and not connecting just right. All in all I recommend if your computer does the same thing!
