I had to hard reset it once because it wouldn’t accept the password we’d been using the whole time. Fine, whatever, one reset. Worse yet, the device drops service throughout the day, and this is when I’m feet away from the device. My laptop or phone will show a blip where the extender drops offline. When it’s working, the speed is great. But I can’t rely on this for working from home. I can’t get cut out of video calls twice in 30 minutes. My UniFi app is showing flawless service to the extender, so this is wholly an issue with the TP Link device.

I'm sure my dog could have done it as well. It does run warm which is some concern for me. My wife said the far outside camera dose run a little faster.

We had a huge dead zone in our house and the extender has helped a great deal. I didn't give it 5 stats because though it was not hard to set up, it was not super easy either and we had to move it several times.

If you haven't noticed a significant improvement in Wi-Fi coverage after installing the extender, we recommend relocating the unit to a position within your home where the router's Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently strong, yet far enough from the router to extend its range effectively. Please verify the RE status LED is indicating a solid connection.

I've used equipment that's more expensive and supposedly more professional but the interfaces have been very poorly designed. This one's well worth the money especially with a great interface
