Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is actually my first foray into setting up a wi-fi mesh, I'm normally an 'ethernet or go home' kind of person. It was incredibly easy to setup with the provided app that showed us where we could install it for best usage. We have gigabit internet but my roommate's pc couldn't connect between the distance and traffic, but after setting this up and directly connecting it to his machine with the ethernet port he was getting ~400-500 megabytes down, it's no replacement for an actual ethernet connection but this is the next best thing

Excellent extender

Get great WiFi service on 1st floor and anywhere in house. That’s great!

Frankly I don’t really need the extender, the router is so darn good it’s handling all my needs by itself. Currently I have up to 32 devices connected however I wanted the extender for heavy traffic use when I have multiple guests such as my folks staying a week or so. With my old router this was an issue. Probably wouldn’t be anyways with the new one however I wanted to future proof the house. Note that this extender will not achieve the download speeds I get directly from the router close wirelessly. Upload speeds the same. Wiring it of course would boost it. I get 150+ mbps consistently from the extender. I’m on Spectrums up to 300 mbps plan. I may upgrade in the fire should I gain the need which my router can handle. Highly recommend the router and TP-Links One Mesh capable extenders in general.

It is reasonably priced and I would recommend it to anyone who has intermittent connectivity issues with their wi-fi network.

I have a nice wi-fi card in my gaming PC that was only getting 30 MB down from my 600 MB wi-fi. This extender boosted it to 160 over wi-fi and when I plugged in the ethernet wire, over 400 MB. This is going to save me form running CAT5 through the roof and down a wall. Setup was easy, took about 15 mins plus trying a few locations for best speed. I had way better results with this than the other extenders i have tried. Really satisfied with this!
