I bought it for a person who is in a nursing home so he can communicate with his home and will have a small monthly charge.

(Like my 95-yr-old mother). Just like with other flip phones, texting is not fun, but it is easier to do with the BLU than with others. (Mom doesn't text, but putting in the contacts via keyboard is a pain).
