THE BOY WHO SOLD IT TO ME STATED I WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM INSTALLING THE T-MOBILE CARD INTO THE PHONE - I HAD TO RETURN IT.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as an upgrade to an older Alcatel model that used the older USB-type connector for chargers, which seems to be getting phased out and has the small, weaker end that is easy to accidentally bend. It has all the features of the Alcatel and uses the same OS, with some benefits. The ringtone and alerts are much louder, which was a major issue had with my older phone. This model has drawbacks, though. For texting, I can't seem to permanently set the phone to other modes instead of predictive. I hate predictive mode, but it's set up as the default every time I want to text or search online. This phone is also missing a radio tuner. I'm pretty sure this is a standard in flip phones, and is a drawback. One of the reasons why people like me are dropping smartphones is privacy. With a tuner, you could listen to local radio all that you wanted without being online but with this phone, you're required to be connected to a third party service that serves you ads. Update this model to have an FM tuner and it'll be four stars. Stop making predictive the default in texting and it will be five stars.

I decided to ditch smartphones and I have no regrets. I ordered this from the Tracfone website. My phone bill has never been lower. I recommend this phone to children, and adults! Perfect starter phone for children. ☺️
