Used to be good and been with Tracfone for many, many years. Just recently when on using T-mobile sim, Tracfone decided to nag on the account they were switching to Verizon only. This is why I bought the sim. The problem was I put the sim in and did the byop on it to Verizon. I was using the byop with T-mobile before but as soon as it was activated with Verizon. I got no service at all. BS. So I switched instantly to another service. Verizon is not that good.

Bought this item from Best Buy for $1. I thought it was a bargain. I was wrong. Tried to set it up using the AT&T SIM card. The account setup says activated but the phone did not. Cannot make or receive calls. Not even text. Called AT&T and was told that the SIM card was defective. Went direct to AT&T and was given a new (working) SIM for free.

Tracfone bad customer service

Tracfone was a very bad experience. First when I hooked up to my phone I bought $15 worth of phone service and I was charged 20 times to my credit card within 10 mins. I called them the next day when I seen the $300 charge and they said "several minutes later" they would refund my bank after a week no refund and I called, was told they need fax number to my bank, I gave it still no refund. Had to go through my bank to get refund.

Second purchase, same result. Tracfone needs to do more work on the SIM card process. This is the second one I've attempted to activate over the last couple of years and have been completely unsuccessful both times. First time even spent hours with technical support. Ended up using old card in new device to get working which is fine, but disappointed in the inability to activate what should be a simple setup. I do love my Tracfone service which I've had for several years now.

Purchased SIM kit to connect to allow TracFone to "migrate" my phone to their Verizon network. TracFone was unable to accomplish an activation and I ended up with brick. Went to TMobile and within 15 minutes I had service on my phone. TracFone techs are inept, incompetent, and flat-out lie to their customers.

This did not work for me. I had to call Tracfone, who had me try all 3 SIM cards in this kit, none of which worked. They then sent me a replacement SIM card, which worked.

Trackphone is horrible

Worst experience ever. I bought a trackphone to have an additional number to put on yard signs.
I called Best Buy and Trackphone and it took more than 4 hrs and multiple calls and transfers to different departments and still could not get the phone activated.
I would not recommend this phone or trackphone service to anyone!!

Didn't work without multiple calls to tracfone

The SIM card I needed was in the box, but the sim # was not in the tracfone system (but others in the box were). It took tracfone two tries an a week+ to get one I could use to connect so I could transfer to the new phone. Once that was straightened out, was able to transfer and use my BYOP.
Note that this is the only path for BYOP for tracfone so understand sometimes there may be delays.

I purchased this item in the event that I might need it if I did not receive my credit/debit card in the mail before my phone plan expired.
I have not used the item and noticed that it is nonrefundable upon purchase.
Basically, I purchased an item that is of no value to me, I will never use, and cannot get a refund on the item. I would rather not rate this item.

Purchased this for our son as his first cellphone experience. Went to pair with an older Samsung phone that we no longer used. The pairing worked, but activating the account never did. Very frustrating and customer support was non-existent. Learned my lesson quickly, and added him to our Verizon plan 2 days later. Won't be trying Tracfone again.

I will never do business with TracFone ever again. I spend 2hrs on the my landline trying to get my cell phone set up and at the end the tech told me the cell phone was defective. So I went back to Best Buy changed on line provider and the cell phone was working in 15 minutes. Goodbye TracFone you'll get my business again.

I used T-mobile network on Tracfone and then shifted to Verizon network. In both networks the internet speed was very less. I complained the same to Tracfone customer service but they could not improve the internet speed. I discontinued using this SIM card after first use. I didn’t try At&t network on Tracfone.

I had 2 phones I tried to get this activated with and neither could recognize the sim cards. One was locked to the network so I thought that might be the problem, unlocked the phone and it still didn't work. So paid for the sim card and paid for the service and wasn't able to use either.

It's a good thing I only spent a $1 on this. The sim cards are useless on older phones. Tried to recycle an old tracphone for my kid to use that was simple and easy and instead none of the cards worked at all. Waste of money.

Would not work for our phone, which is a Verizon LG incredible, even though we were reassured by best buys Verizon service guy that it would. Not a huge $ loss but frustrating nonetheless. Seems like a promising idea if it works.
