    sim card with a non existing sim card number

    bought a tracfone sim card kit for a Tmobile cell phone (cell phone was unlocked by Tmobile)I try to bring this brand new phone to tracfone, I try doing the sim card registration over the computer and was getting an error on screen saying sim card not found I try it couple of times then I decided to call tracfone for help, after repeating the sim card number couple of times and providing the IMIE of my phone i was put on hold several times while they look for something in their system, so after 19 minutes of waiting I was told the sim card was not found in tracfone system so they could not help me anymore and could not provide any other way to get this sim card working.

    Still no phone number after a week

    I bought this sim kit and a 60 minute plan just because I needed a temporary service provider. I followed the activation process on the Tracfone website exactly (opting to not port a number because I know that is an absolute mess) and it seemed like my phone was activated. When I checked in settings it said my phone number was unknown. I tried to call a friend and received an operator response saying I was roaming and to place a collect call (hadn't even left the zip code I bought the sim card in). I called the tracfone service number from another phone and they said to "wait a bit while a number is assigned to your sim". At this point I figure it is best to cut my loses since I have no interest in wasting several hours to get a third rate phone service working. Now a week later still can't make calls, the 60 minutes have been "redeemed" to a phone with no number and I have moved on to a better service provider. BUYER BE WARNED!

    $30 plan with only a day worth

    Set up is not a breeze as everyone claims it to be. Bought a $30 plan and spells nothing but trouble from the begining. I wish I never gotten out of Mint Mobile only to be had by Tracfone. It only worked a day then texting & web stopped working. Connection to any cell tower was finicky. Tracfone does not even have a trial period so if not satisfied then your s..t out of luck! Not a good experience at all & I'm out $30. Buyer beware!

    Disappointed Service!

    The Sim card became useless since Tracfone refused to honor the "Plan Card" of 60 saying it had been redeemed. There was no way that I could have used the card since the Tracphone had not yet been activated! Consequently, I also loss the cost of the sim card as well as the card plan for 60 mins. 90 days.

    Porting out not possible

    After two yrs. Tracfone is not possible to Port out..after5wks of calls and a ffc complaint ..u can not make sense with them over a zip code and the tower zip code the day u sign up .dont even ever use this service..u can not Port your number away.. over ten hours in one day on the phone and they can't do it..

    Doesn't work with a Sprint phone

    AT&T (GSM) or Verizon (CDMA / LTE), possible T-Mobile network phones. Will not work with a Sprint phone. Would be nice if they would just say that somewhere instead of all the run around and refund nonsense through Tracfone.
