Tracfone service is okay but this phone is really cheap. I called Tracfone about they said is probably the phone go get another. Really! Get what you pay for.

    Good Phone for the Simple

I was tight with money and paying $45/Month for my other Pre-Paid Phone and i was still feeling like i was paying too much. Im not a big App person nor go on the internet that much. If im not able to connect to a wifi place i normally dont bother. I Kept having having over 600MB remaining out of a 1GB Data plan so i felt like it was a little bit of a waste. The best thing about tracfone is the triple minutes/carryover incase you have extra still after 3 months. I love the design of this phone much better. It looks like a iphone with the silver going all around it which makes it flashy. But im putting a case on it for protection but its a very sleek design. Its very light even with the battery. I have not tested the camera out yet my prev phone was a 8MP and this one is a 5MP. So we will see how different it is. I have not had any issues at all yet. Overall Im glad i did this and bought it when it was on sale for $50 because its now back up to $100.

Disclaimer...I'm an amateur with cell phones

I bought my first cell tracfone about a year ago. It was a refurbished LG phone and it was very slow. I wanted to upgrade, so Best Buy was selling this phone at half price plus my wife had some kind of $10.00 rebate so I paid $39.00 for the phone. It's way better than the old one. It's fast, and it''s got a 4 inch screen as opposed to my small screen on the old phone. The only reason I don't give this five stars is because this week, in their ad, they have a 5 inch Samsung on sale. There's a real advantage to a bigger screen. Now I don't know all the ins and outs of this phone yet (I have a lot to learn about smart phones) but I really like it. If it had a five inch screen, I'd like it even better, but it's great.

This is a decent, inexpensive smart phone (often sells for $50 or so), but I'm rather disappointed with it. I bought this as a replacement for a damaged LG Power (LG L22C), because this was the most similar CDMA TracFone I could get on short notice. The L22C has VERY similar specs, but a slightly lower-capacity battery and Android 5 (ans 3G, but no 4G support). Despite the LG's smaller battery capacity, I could put it to sleep and it'd lose less than 5% of its battery capacity overnight. For my usage patterns, I could charge it once every 3-4 days and never risk running out of power. With the Galaxy Core Prime, it loses about 3% per hour while asleep (the only exception is when it's *fully* charged. It reads 100% for awhile before starting to drop at approximately 3% per hour). It doesn't matter if all of the radios (cell, Wi-Fi, BlueTooth) are all turned on or if the phone is left in airplane mode. If I go to sleep for 8 hours, it'll have lost 20% of its capacity by morning. If I don't charge this phone every day, it'll be out of juice before I get home from work on the second day. I have few apps installed (fewer than I had on the LG Power), I've run cleaning tools, and I've checked Android's battery usage settings page, and I can't find an app to blame for this ridiculous power consumption.

Bought 2 of these to replace older ZTE Valet phones. For screen size, screen resolution, weight, thickness, and functions, and the price, it is an excellent choice. Has most of the capabilities of a Samsung Galaxy S4, except for a somewhat lowered screen resolution and memory.

I would have preferred the iphone as I have all other Apple products but since this was going to be my first smartphone & it was on sale I thought I'd try this out first before putting out big bucks for iphone. I have been a Tracfone user for many, many years & have upgraded to newer Tracfones frequently but none were android ones. I had over 2000 minutes on my old non smartphone & it all carried over to the Samsung! Got 2000 data, 2000 talk, 2000 text. Just took a quick automated phone call to activate it & the new phone was working within an hour. However I still had to call & talk to a tech at Tracfone because the Play Store app wasnt on my phone for some reason. No wait time on phone, & tech talked me thru the whole thing. Had to eventually reset the phone & re-enter the whole set up thing again but he waited patiently & made sure all was well before we hung up. Took over a half hour. I don't know why Tracfone gets so many bad reviews for their tech phone service. As I said I have used Tracfone for many years & am very pleased with the whole operation. Do not hesitate to buy this phone. Had to learn how to use it as I only know how to use Apple, but I downloaded the complete Samsung Manual from the Tracfone website & within 2 days knew all the ins & outs. So if you have never used this type of phone before it is a MUST to download the Manual because the packaged phone comes with almost no instructions.

As much as we need in a smart phone.

We bought this because it matches the one we already bought, after deciding we each needed one. The first was on sale, but the second not so much discounted. However, the web let us know that it had gone on sale more, so we took advantage of the refund guarantee, which sweetened the pot considerably. Apart from one incident when the sim card came loose after the phone was dropped, and it stopped working, we are pleased with it. It fulfills all the needs we have for a smart phone, in terms of communication with each other and with family.

My first smartphone. I DETEST cell phones and have been avoiding moving into the 21st century for a number of years, but decided that it was finally time to take the plunge. What convinced me to purchase this phone (aside from the great $49.95/free shipping sale price) was the fact that I was able to avoid getting locked into a contract and having to pay upwards of $80 a month for phone service. I purchased the year plan (which I'm sure will be MORE than I will use#. The set-up was very easy, the phone is extremely user-friendly #especially for a tech moron like me) and it does and has EVERYTHING I need from a phone . . . and MORE. I couldn't be happier.

    Best cell phone I've owned!

This phone is really really nice for daily active life. Plenty of memory when a Micro SD card is installed, No lagging when using the phone and a solid battery life. I previously owned the Alcatel One Touch Pixi Pulsar and transferred my number over to this phone. Unfortunately my remaining data and text messages never made the transfer and only the card I purchased along with the phone got added. This was fixed quickly going to their website and using the chat function. If you own a Fit Bit or other fitness related device, this seamlessly works with it!

I bought this phone last year, and mine still works great. I bought another one for my son, refurbished, and his has suddenly stopped texting or calling. No one can explain why. I just ordered a third phone from best buy, opened today, and there is no sim card. Best Buy chatting said I had to drive to the store and they would give me a sim card. This irritates me. Number one, they should have offered to mail it overnight since I ordered the phone in the first place, and number two, I anticipate arriving at the store and being told that in reality I have to purchase a sim card. This is not working out well. It's not my fault the sim card was missing. It takes me 45 minutes to get to the store.

Best tracfone phone I've had. It has 8 GB storage so it will take loads of apps, and Samsung has really great software. Hard to gt a phone like this on the tracfone network.

I bought this for my 11 year old son to use with his TracPhone account. It is a great smart phone that works really well especially for the cost. If you are looking for a good phone for average use this is a good choice.
