So far, so improved over the previous phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this phone, after some research, to replace an awful LG phone I bought less than a year ago. It's lighter (though bigger), faster (4G vs 3G), has a better screen, cost less....I can't complain (except that my fingers are too big to type efficiently.) The service coverage seems, at this point, to be at least equal to the old phone. I did have to spend some time with the online chat at Tracfone to get my minutes/data/etc. transferred from the old phone, as attempting to do it myself resulted in the website telling me I could only have the phone number & service date transferred. (Online chat, BTW - much better than trying to do it over the phone, ironically enough.) Only complaint - I had to shop online for a case that would fit; couldn't find a store that carried one.

Didn't Get to Use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Best Buy employee who waited on us only activated 1 of 2 phones that we bought. We have to go back to the store to, hopefully, have the job done correctly. I am very irritated. I shouldn't have to make a separate trip.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first phone the charging port was broken. I bought a replace and found out you can not say any of your calendar or contacts to goggle. It is very difficult to save things to an SD card. Will not buy an LG phone again!

Bought Strictly for Pokémon Go
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hopefully this review will help someone else solely looking for a cheap device to play Pokémon Go on. Phone Specs (as of 8/28/2018) Operating System: Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) Screen Resolution: 854 x 480 Phone Memory: 1 GB Pokémon Go requirements (as of 8/28/18) Version: 0.115.3 Operating System: Android 4.4 or above Screen Resolution: 720 × 1280 (Preferred resolution) Phone Memory: 2 GB (Recommended but not required) Pokémon Go will run on this phone, but not without some issues. I've listed some of the things I've run across: - While running the game, navigating to a different app or off Pokémon Go will cause the game to reboot in most cases. (This is due to the low RAM the phone has compared to what the game requires) - Trying to search for a pokémon by name will bring up a pop-up from the bottom screen that allows you type. This occasionally does not open properly and you're unable to search. Navigating to and from the pokémon page will usually remedy this. - If you choose to use Calcy IV to check stats of pokémon, you must open it first, then boot the game. - I suggest connecting the phone via ADB (Android Debug Bridge) so you can have the bottom navigation hidden on the game. The screen on this phone is already small and hiding this navigation helps with room to throw the ball. (information on how to hide that: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/7884a9/disable_navigation_bar_on_pok%C3%A9mon_go_without/) - When teethering the connection from my own phone, the GPS is slow to update, sometimes not at all. This leads me to rebooting the game on the phone so the GPS will update, otherwise the account doesn't walk anywhere and remains standing aimlessly. (I have Verizon as a carrier if anyone is curious) Overall, the phone has served its purpose but in highsight, I would have coughed up the extra bit of money to compensate for the lack of necessary RAM. I'd go with a device that has 2GB of RAM so you won't have to deal with these little annoyances, otherwise if you want to run Pokémon Go on a super cheap device, this one will do it. (for now)

Excellent Phone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great phone and everything I like about it but it is a Tracfone, and for being a Tracfone phone with their software, that means you will never ever get OS updates at all. If you are someone that wants OS updates, then stay far away from getting straight from the network phones. Tracfone is the worst for OS updates. Unlocked phone is what I am going to work on getting for next upgrade. No matter how much I love this phone. I rather have OS updates than be stuck with limited only phone like all Tracfones are. If you care less about updates, then this phone is perfect for you.

Can Play Pokemon Go...but no gyroscope
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG L44VL plays Pokemon Go in regular mode just fine but since it doesn't have a gyroscope you can't play in Augmented Reality (AR) mode, though some prefer not to play in AR mode anyways. Also, the game recommends 2 gb ram and this phone only has 1 gb ram, but we don't see what problem if any that causes. The phone itself seems to be a nice upgrade from my old slide phone. It has good reception, beautiful screen, nice size (not too big, not too small) and it was well priced.

Nice little phone.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a Tracfone to replace my older Tracfone smart phone. Small size was important so it would fit in my vest pocket. This phone does everything I need it to do. I think it is a good value for the price I paid at Best Buy. I have had no problems with it since I purchased it.

Great Smartphone, My First One!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my old 2G dumb phone with this 4G LTE one. This is the best Tracfone I've ever seen. There is a learning curve, but it is not too steep. I did all the software updates, and I had email, web browsing, calling, and messaging all working within minutes. Tracfone was very slow to activate the new phone and transfer minutes from my old phone. In fact, that took overnight, and Tracfone has no email tech support -- only telephone support which does not help you if all your phone are deactivated. Not only that, but Tracfone does not have 24/7 tech support, so when your phone stops working late night, you are screwed until morning (Eastern Time). So this phone is great, but Tracfone is great only if you NEVER EVER have to contact them. Otherwise, I'm a happy camper.

Great general-purpose smartphone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got mine while it was on sale at Best Buy for $20, and dollar for dollar, it has turned out to be a really good deal. The Rebel LTE has adequate memory and processor power despite being an entry-level Tracfone device. While the display is nothing fancy, it is still crisp enough for my weather widgets which are in high resolution. Battery life is fairly respectable as well. I can usually get two days out of a single charge, unless I'm having a particularly busy day on the phone. The camera is workable for a phone at this price point. I only have two minor complaints: 1) The sound output from the Rebel is on the soft side. I really have to crank up the volume when using the headphone jack. 2) The touch screen response, while not awful, is somewhat lacking compared to other devices I've used in the past. All things considered, the LG Rebel LTE is a commendable phone, especially at the $20 sale price.

What more could you want?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant at first to buy this phone because it's powered by Verizon lines and not AT&T like all my other Tracfones in the past. But lo and behold it works and it works just fine. Clear connections and never drops. Had to download an app to give me reminder chimes for texts and calls, but so what? I can voice text, no more triple-tapping. I can even play on the Internet. All this for 49.99! Don't even pause, this one's a keeper!

Great phone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this phone on June 11, 2015 at Best Buy on sale for $49.99. It works great! The battery doesn't appear to last more than several hours, but other than this is a good buy!
