I like this phone for the $50 sales price! Replacing my older LG L22C to go from 3G to 4G plus benefits of quad processor. Hooked to Tracfone, ...Loaded it up with minutes and data, and my favorite apps.. Just discovered my favorite of all; Google Sky Map ... says "BAD news: this device need both a compass and accelerometer, .. and this devise does not have one of those." Sky Chart won't work either (for identifying planets and stars) ... Those favorite apps work on my older inferior in power androids. ... I am wondering if this is a common missing hardware issue for this L44VL android... . or maybe just a bad roll if dice for me only, .. that can be repaired ??? I would have bought a different phone if I knew about this in advance! . ... at present, I am disappoint about his aspect of phone. I am asking questions to LG and here. Otherwise, pretty nice Android.

I bought this LG TracFone because it was 4G. My former TracFone was a 3G model and was rather slow. This phone boots up much faster making the overall service better than my old phone.

Phone is ok so far. nothing to shout about. It runs and works as it should. Best Buy is listing this phone as having an FM radio tuner build in. This is FALSE. There is no FM radio tuner chipset on these phones. Best Buy and a couple of other retailers are listing it with the FM tuner, however Tracfone does not. I bought this because Best Buy told me it had an FM tuner.

Purchased this phone from best Buy and Tracfone could not transfer my number, also from Tracfone phone, because the SIM card showed invalid on the phone. I returned that phone and purchased another of the same model. Exactly the same problem. The SIM card was fine until the transfer process and then showed as invalid. Tracfone then sent a replacement SIM card and the same thing AGAIN. The SIM cards do not show as invalid until the phone number transfer process is attempted. The icing on the cake is when the transfer process is attempted the old phone then becomes inactive and CANNOT be re-activated without a new SIM card. AVOID! You have been forewarned. There should be a zero rating because one star is TOO much!

If this phone worked without 'Invalid SIM card" error message for a year or 2 I would have gotten my moneys worth but the longest stretch I got was 14 days. I am on my 6th unit (4 replacements from Best Buy and now 2 from Tracfone) and they all get "Invalid SIM card". I have also had 3 replacement SIM cards - it makes no difference. There is something seriously wrong with this unit and if I had to do it all over again I wouldn't. It isn't worth the grief. If not for that it would be a decent phone for the money. Yes there are a few small nitpiks (like a battery that needs a recharge every 2.5 days, no built-in radio, etc) but all of those do not matter if the phone does not make calls. Tracfone has only offered to replace with the same exact model. They could have saved themselves money if they had just sent me a different equivalent phone. I strongly recommend selecting something else.

Pretty good phone. It gets updates as they come out.

This phone has been an absolute headache. It's been 4 days and I am still unable to activate it and when I call Tracfone none of the reps are particularly helpful as not one of the many that I have spoken to can tell what the problem might be. I'll NEVER buy from this brand again.
