This is easy to set up, easy to use and connects right to my phone so I can be even lazier. There is no tending to the pellets, no checking temperatures, you just set it up at the beginning and forget about it. If it ever does require attention or temperatures are reached, it notifies you via the app. I was hesitant on spending this kind of money on a smoker, but it was well worth it and will be using it for years to come.

So far we have smoked a rib roast and pork loin and both turned out amazing. Tender, juicy and perfect! We have also cooked asparagus and Brussel spouts, both of which turned out excellent! Put them in cast iron pans and put them in the smoker, super easy and no mess. The temp notices to your phone make this grill/smoker super convenient to use.

Was kind nervous about this initially given the high price tag, but have been pleasantly surprised with the ease of use and performance. The WiFi features are great and we’re a big selling point for me. So far so good with my ironwood 885.

Got this smoker when it was on sale and it has been great so far. I've made steaks, burgers and a brisket on it so far. It has done great with each of those. Added the shelf on the front and got the Traeger cover for it to keep the outside looking good since I don't have a porch or anything to hide it under. Did break the plastic piece that lets you set the brake on one of the smaller wheels when setting it up but that was my own fault, just be careful when standing it up if you flipped it upside down to put the legs on. Like the ability to change out the liners quickly underneath the grill and in the grease trap for quick and easy cleanup. Setup and control with the app was very easy. I love the ability to just push recipes from the app to the grill and it automatically sets the timer or the goal for the temperature probe. So far I've only used Mesquite pellets but I look forward to trying some others soon.

This thing is amazing, flawless operation. The app is awesome. The fact you can download a recioff the app into the smoker and let it walk you through the cook is a nice touch !! Worth the money

There is nothing better than smoking a brisket without babysitting it. Over the smoker is amazing. It’s has some many functions and the app is great, ever wonder what you should try next, there literally hundreds of recipes to try. Best purchase ever.

I LOVE this smoker!!! I feel like I just leveled up cooking food on this thing. Like the commercial says set it and forget it. I cook ribs, baked potatoes, salmon, etc. The only problem is that everyone wants for me to continue to cook for them.

Takes a bit of getting used to using this for cooking coming from using propane grills my entire life... Need to think about time it takes to preheat and time to shutdown which takes longer than a gas grill. Also you pretty much ate trading the ability to sear meats with smike flavor and set and forget features for cooking. This model actually takes the full 20lb bag of pellets where the lower model doesn't. So far have cooked ribs, brisket (full packer), and pork butt for pulled pork a d everything has been delicious and easy to set up. Just set the temps and cook for however many hours.

I have had the IW 885 now for about 5 months. I really like the ability to control it from anywhere with the app. It is nice to monitor longer cooks like ribs or brisket through the temp probe. It acts as a second oven and I do bacon and bread on it as well. It also does chicken and pork roast really well and I am looking forward to doing a turkey for TG this year. I have had the best results with Traeger pellets.

My husband loves to cook on the Traeger and I enjoy the fruits of his labor! It is an easy to operate grill/smoker. It is flexible as a grill and a smoker. WiFi is great!

Excellent smoker. It is really easy to use and the app definitely complements the smoke well. Looking forward to smoking meats for years to come.

This grill is very heavy, but did not take much to assemble. The only problem was the temperature sensor was never plugged into the controller, which was the only downfall, but Traeger tech-support is amazing and I would highly recommend this smoker, the Wi-Fi technology easily connects to your phone and you can control your temperature and timer in the palm of your hand.

The delivery/assembly process was great and seamless via TotalTech, and the grill itself looks awesome. The WiFire took a little time to set up but overall works fine. The grilling area is very roomy and it held three racks of ribs with a lot of room to spare for my first cook. The pellet sensor does go off as indicated, but it will sense a low pellet level in the hopper even though there are a lot of pellets hanging around the sides that have not dropped down to where the pellets enter the grill; I have to manually shake the pellets loose to level the layers and 'tell' the sensor that there are in fact enough pellets in the hopper. Otherwise, this grill works great! Temperatures appear to be accurate and the cooking process seems foolproof enough. Highly recommend!

Easy to use and consistent. I’ve dealt with traditional smokers for years and this just frees up so much time for me to spend with friends and family. The app is great. I can set it to 225 and easily go 20hours or more on a full hopper. If I had one possible grievance it’s the super-smoke feature is underwhelming. I have read lowering temps to 165-185 can boost a lot so I may try that. I bought a smoke tube and it makes this thing perfect.

The Treager Ironwood 885 was a fabulous purchase. The quality of the product was second to none! I couldn't have asked for a better purchasing experience through BestBuy from order to delivery!! The brisket was tremendously easy to cook and tasted INCREDIBLE!!

Been using this from burgers or steaks to veggies or chili and even some desserts! The app has some easy to follow and delicious recipes. I go with Bear Mountain pellets as they provide better flavor. My only negative is what everyone says, this is an expensive grill, why does Traeger use cheap rusty drip pans inside it (bc they want you to buy the liners until the end of time). Find the guy on Reddit who will make a stainless steel drip tray and ship it to you.

Upgraded from the pro 34. Was one of the best smoking decisions I have ever made. Adding Wi-Fi, double insulated walls, and a pellet meter was a game changer. This Traeger practically takes all the guessing and work out of smoking meat. Was able to smoke a brisket and actually get some sleep overnight knowing the smoker would alert me through the app if anything needed to be done. Done 2 big barbecues with it and no complaints.

Worth it! Love it, has plenty of space. I have used it a few times already and was able to figure it out immediately. Took less than an hour to set up, comes very very well packed and designed. Seems you might be paying for how well packed it in the box. Might invest in the wireless thermometer because the wired one that come with it gets in the way a little bit.

The best smoker my husband loves it.. This was his Christmas & bday gift.
