Wasted Potential

I am a big fan of the tactical RPG genre, but after about 3 hours into the game, I only fought one battle and sat through about 2h45min of cut scenes with pretty awful dialogue. I miss Final Fantasy Tactics.

can't get used to it

I guess if you like the ogre tactics and such, you may like it. I'm more a fire emblem guy, and I can't get used to the combat system.

It takes a long time to get anywhere

There are hours of story to get through, so much so that the battles are a side event to the story you read through between them. It is almost more of a visual novel.

Classic Squaresoft and Enix

Triangle Strategy is a solid choice with elements from, in my opinion, the best tactical JRPGS. Shining Force, Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem. Adds new features as well. I am a tactical RPG snob and this game is worth a playthrough.
