This dumbbell is great, is heavy-duty, functional, and with an excellent grip. I prefer these rubber coated over vinyl since it is a lot softer on surfaces. There is enough space to grip and not all uncomfortable. The gripping bar is 5 inches long, and the entire dumbbell length is 12 inches. I like hex shade over plate dumbbells because they don’t roll around on the floor. It does have some smell, which is familiar with this type of rubber, but that goes away within a few days. Overall, I am delighted with the high quality, looks and feels great. I like them so much that I will get more with different lbs to improve my workout routine.

With pandemic and gym closures, was looking for quality dumbbell sets for routine workouts at home and these Dumbbells are excellent and very well made. The heavy duty rubber encased hexagon shaped help prevents from rolling for safety and easy storage. The chrome handle is contoured and textured for a secure comfortable grip and ergonomic fit that reduces hand fatigue. Love the pair of 20lbs(each) for working out arms, chest and various upper/Lower body routines. Planning to get other sizes of 5 and 10pounds to accommodate specific exercises. Why spend too much for branded ones as this one is excellent value for the price it has to offer. Highly recommend.

The grip is thin and easy to grab. It comes pre-oiled which is nice, and they have great balance.

These dumbbells are great & very easy to use. The rubber coating makes it easy to place down on the floor or furniture without destroying anything or making excessive clanging noises. It also adds an additional buffer against your skin. The grip in between is also long enough where you have optimal balance while working out. My only complaint was that the packaging it came in (a simple cardboard box with no padding, secured by a few strips of scotch tape at the seems) was very shoddy & the 30 lb weight protruded right through the box. It was a good thing I was home when the delivery was being made or else it would have fallen completely through the box if it were dumped on the porch (as these delivery people tend to do). The delivery man just handed it to me, broken cardboard box & all.

It's a rubber coated dumbbell. Crazy heavy. I like the contoured grips, and the fact no on in the house can move them. Where ever I put them down, that's where they'll be.

These dumbbells are great! They have great grip and are well made. I did not even realize Best Buy sold weights so this is a good one if you can't find them anywhere else.

Great for home gyms. The rubber coating protects the floor while the knurled grips help you hold it tight even when hands are sweaty. I use these when walking on the treadmill.

This is my favorite choice for dumbbells the circumference of the hand is just right for small to average hand, and the extra grip is a big plus

Just what I needed. It has been hard to find weights during the pandemic but Best Buy had them. Sturdy and nice grip.

The majority of the gyms are closed, not to mention the inner concern of getting infected with the covid. But even if the gyms were open to the public, we would still be forcing to stay at home most of the time, and gain weight too. So we have to look for ways to exercise even a little bit for our own sake and guess what? Turns out that dumbells prices increased dramatically. When I was looking in Amazon, prices didn’t make any sense and you will have to stay in a wait list if you decided to buy it. So finding weights became a near impossible task for a decent price. But worse than that, I found out by own experience, many of these companies were selling ONLY ONE dumbbell, and you realized that once the order arrived! So I was pleasantly surprised that Best Buy has entered into the fitness business. And as always, Best Buy only offers very high quality products with a very affordable price, like these set of dumbbells. You can feel and smell the great quality and craftsmanship of the heavy duty rubber with hexagon shape that helps to grip on any surface you place them. The chrome handle is designed for a good grip while you exercise . And because of the way they are being designed you will notice a smell of rubber for a couple of days, but that is it, I am really pleased with this set and I am starting to collect all pairs, but the best part is, that they come in pairs!

It's hard to think of things to say about a device whose only real requirement is to be both heavy and symmetrical, so I'll be brief: these are very good dumbbells. The knurled grips provide plenty of purchase for potentially sweaty hands without being obnoxious. The rubber coating does an admirable job of preventing them from creating too much noise when you set them down on the floor. And they did an admirable job of surviving what looks to have been a tremendously challenging trip through the postal service which left the box they arrived in all but destroyed, so I'm sure they'll be able to stand up to anything they might get being stored underneath a desk or in a home gym. There is a bit of a strong chemical smell produced by the rubber that I noticed right out of the box, but it grew fainter with some time. All in all it's a great set of gear to have on hand for a quick workout!

The Tru Grit 20-LB Hex dumbbell is a great dumbbell and comes at a perfect time when I try to stay at home as much as possible these days. It fits well in my hand and the grip on the handle is just right. I love the hex shape and it keeps the dumbbell right where I put it down. I only have one right now, but I plan on getting another 20-lb to even things out and a couple of 10-lb versions for my wife to use. The rubber does have a funny smell though, but I hope it will go away with time.

Love these 20lb Tru Grit dumbbells for home workout, especially with all the gyms closed down right now. The rubber coating is extremely helpful because it won't damage your floors as much as metal would, so you don't necessarily need to buy something extra to set them on. They have a nice grip, although they do get a little slippery if you have sweaty hands. If you have a pair of workout gloves they would solve this. They do have a strong smell out of the box but that's normal and it goes away after a few days. If you have the ability, I recommend leaving them in the garage or basement for 2-3 days so they can air out. Overall, these are great and I recommend them to anyone looking to workout at home!

Finding weights in the COVID-19 era is near impossible. Especially finding weights for a decent price. I received 2 of the 20lb dumbbells, and I weighed them on the scale, right on the money at 20 lbs. The grip is great, very nice texture on it, no slippage, and the rubberized hex material of the weight allows the weight to not roll around on the floor and stay put and it being rubber, not damage your floors. What can I say, it's a great weight!
