This kettle bell comes handy when there are times I cannot make it to the gym. There are ways you can use the kettle bell workout other than swing it. The adjustable feature is great because I have a 25lb non adjustable one.

Unlocking and removing the plates is a bit stiff when new but smooths out after a few uses.

That is why I purchased it, so that I could remove plates and work up to the 40 lbs. However, with plates removed, it was too cumbersome when doing certain moves. If you are only swinging it in front of you, that is OK, but anything else, it is too clunky when plates are removed. I returned and will buy a regular weighted kettlebell.

However, as some of the comments have mentioned, removing some of the plates results in a weird, uncomfortable position to hold, especially when one is doing exercises like shoulder press. I personally felt some chaffing here and there but nothing too dramatic.

Although it would have been really nice had it came with instructions on how to remove/add the weight plates, a quick how-to YouTube video search eventually proved doing so was a very simple & easy task.
