Modern Jimi Hendrix!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ever since his first album "Inside wants out" I have been a fan of Mr. Mayer. The way he has impacted music is absolutely astonishing. You This album is by far one of my favorites! Steve Jordan (Drummer) compliments Mayer's guitar playing with a jazzy yet pop-like twist. Hard not to want to listen to the whole thing all the way through!

Maybe the best rock album of 2005, seriously!

Actually, this is best described as an R&B album, and I mean R&B in the 1950's sense, not the modern. John Mayer and his solid rythm section float effortlessly from blues-rock to blues(white-boy blues, but well done) to R&B to ballads. The best song is track 3, which is a cover of a relatively unknown Jimi Hendrix jem, and JM3 knock it out of the park! This is one of those albums you can put in your car stereo and listen to from start to finish and not be disappointed once. This album also stays good after repeated listens, and that is the true mark of a great album. I wish every John Mayer album was this good. BUY IT!!!
