Good value for the price, works well in stereo mode. Unfortunately I have a first gen Xbox 360 so I haven't heard the surround capabilities yet. Depending on your ears it can get a little painful for long term usage, but mine seem to have gotten used to it.

Purchased in 12/2012 as a gift for my son. By February the audio game sound had stopped working and only voice would come through the headset. We tried troubleshooting with the TB website since you can't actually talk to anyone and couldn't get it resolved. I exchanged the product at Best Buy for a new one. The replacement headset has now stopped working completely: audio, chat and mic. Best Buy will not give a refund and Turtle Beach is only offering to exchange but I'm not of a mind to send headsets back to Turtle Beach every 2 - 4 months so my son is now using a different brand. No more Turtle Beach for us!

This is the WORST headset that I have ever bought in my entire life. It broke so easily and I would beg anyone looking at it not to buy it. I would NEVER recommend this to a friend.
