Great PC Gaming Headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are comfortable headphones with great sound and a nice set of features for PC and most importantly they are wireless, because who wants cords these days! Sufficient battery life. Sound quality is awesome. I wouldn't recommend them for an Xbox if you want truly wireless.

Gaming sound is great--could be more comfy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used these for around 10 hours at the time of writing this, and overall I have been pleased with them so far. For the price these are a good choice. They are not the most comfortable headphones, nor do they provide great range for music, but strictly for gaming they do sound great. The 3D audio is a treat where available from specific games, and overall the highs and lows are solid for game audio. These headphones perform well wireless with a PS4, but the ideal setup is on PC where you have access to the audio control application. The software itself is smooth and is simple to customize and tweak, allowing me to create game-specific profiles. The comfortable level is lacking a bit, with these becoming slightly painful on the ears after about 2 hours. it seems no one has quite hit that sweet spot! The microphone is clear and easy to use as well.

Most comfortable ever
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've experienced many gaming headphones, but none compare to the comfort of this product. The cups are soft, glasses friendly, and seal the ears for complete submersion. The headset is light and durable for long hours of gameplay. The companion software makes for creative personalization of sound presets. From sloshing in the mud to shifting gears to hearing footsteps, the advanced design of the speakers pick up on every little sound. Definitely worth the buy especially since with the standard headphone jack, it's compatible with everything.

Easy setup, comfortable, full sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had other pricier wireless PC gaming headphones, but these definitely punch above their weight class in price. The ear cups are plush and soft, while the headband provides a good grip on my head without being tight. Having a somewhat larger head, I have noticed that some brands have too much clamping force in the headband. These feel just right as far as staying in place but still being comfortable. Controls are easy to use, with a couple buttons and scroll wheels to adjust volume. One of the buttons and scroll wheels is customizable in the Turtle Beach PC software found on their website...which also provides audio settings, equalizer, listening modes, and firmware updates. The USB dongle is small an unobtrusive. A wired 3.5mm cable is included to use the headset in wired mode with any of the big 3 video game consoles, which is nice. The left earcup just above the mic port has a mute button that can be easily tapped. Overall, it's comfortable, full of features, and is at the right price point. Sound is comparable to other headsets in the price range, and the mic appeared to be clear in my testing. I will definitely be using this headset for a while!

Great sound but dongles
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really enjoy the rich souls of this headset. The surround sound In gaming, especially in FPS is a little freaky at first. I kept actually looking around. The fact that you are able to hear your own voice makes the experience better because you know how loudly you are talking. Let’s all admit that we can get a bit loud in the think of the action. Those are the pros. My son tried them out and now we spend a bit of time bickering as to why her can’t use them at will. I lent him my 300.00 set because I like the extra features on this one. Now for the cons: Dongles- it 2019 not 1999. The single necessary to go wireless is problematic. Not in game play but if you want to use the headphones for any other purpose. The inline mic is okay but move slightly and the person on the other end of the phone can tell what fabric your shirt is made from. I prefer pure Bluetooth and am not sure why TB felt the dongle was necessary. If nothing else, a clip on the online cable to keep it in place would work wonders.

High Quality Headset for PC Gaming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For years I have been using a high end set of audiophile headphones with a separate mic, and decided it was time to try a more convenient solution designed specifically for online gaming.I was a little nervous that a "gaming grade" headset would feel cheap and flimsy, or would have really poor audio quality and latency issues due to the wireless nature. It turned out to be the opposite. The Turtle Beach Elite Atlas Aero is nearly perfect. These "Atlas Aero" headphones are a well engineered product and I was immediately excited to put them on when I saw and felt the build quality. They are extremely comfortable and feel very solid - there is no question to me that they will last a long time. The Pro specs feature where you can adjust them to fit around your glasses is something I did not know about until I read the manual and I am super pleased to report it works well and was very comfortable. Audio quality upon first impression with the included "mobile" cable (which doubles as a mic when using on a phone or Xbox) was 'good enough' considering the price and intended usage. I did not assume these are audiophile grade and they are not - but they have great bass and detailed midrange which is what you want for gaming. No stars detracted for that. Mic quality is very good and I've had no complaints at all about my voice quality in discord with my guildies. I even used the Atlas Aero for a weekly conference call I host at work and got good reports from my colleagues. I'm excited that I'll be freed up with the wireless nature of the headset.I really liked being able to use the second dial on the headset for hearing my own voice through the mic (not for my own voice really, but to hear how much background noise it was picking up). Build and audio quality aside, the best part about this headset is the app and software features. The Waves 3D audio feature is AWESOME and adds a huge open soundstage and some 3D positional processing that works very well. I was not expecting to like that so much. Additionally the software allows you to customize the buttons and volume dial on the headset, giving you the ability to mute on the fly (or enable Turtle Beach's gaming enhancement features). The wireless dongle of the headset was easy to use and instantly paired when I powered on the headset. It has worked on both my gaming PC (where I also installed the software) and on my work laptop (where I did not install the software). Without the software you miss out on the 3D audio but it worked great for my meeting software. Overall I give them 5 stars. At this price I don't think you'll find anything approaching the build quality of the Atlas Aero, and they truly work great in wireless mode. Perhaps the only feature I wish they had was bluetooth, but I imagine that would complicate things since these are targeted at PC gamers.

Great headset!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous headsets were, um let's just say they were a "few" years old. Older than I care to admit. When I began thinking about what I wanted in a replacement headset, wireless was at the top of the list. The Elite Atlas Aero from Turtle Beach had all the features that I was looking for - and a few more. A metal headband should ensure a long life, and also provides a secure fit. The gel cushions are quite comfortable even after lengthy use. Another nice touch is that the earpieces articulate, so they tend to seat onto your ears naturally without a lot of adjustment. They also appear to be leather wrapped for long life. The specs say battery life is about 30 hours, but I haven't gotten that far yet. In short, there's a lot of features in this headset for the price. I recommend them if you are looking to replace or upgrade your current headset.

Excellent headset for the price range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came from a pair of HS70's and these blow them out of the water. Super light weight. Very comfortable ear cubs and head band. Great sound quality, and a surprisingly good Mic. Wireless quality is very good. My only two complaints would be that the charging cable is way too short, and it's micro usb as opposed to USB C. Other than that, incredibly happy with this set. Best set I've had since my VOIDS. And comfort to wear all day long.

Great sound quality - poor headset overall.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech G430 that I owned and loved for years finally gave out and I figured I'd try something new. I used this headset on PC for lengthy sessions. While the sound quality of this headset was amazing, I was generally disappointed as I compared it to the far cheaper Logitech. The biggest disappointment was the mic. The mic sounded muffled and low-quality. The headset was heavy and bulky, and the placement of the volume controls wasn't thought out - as the volume wheel is on the backside of the headset, I kept inadvertently adjusting the volume as I leaned back against my computer chair. The time between charges was great, and it recharged quickly. The wireless USB dongle was easy to use. Overall, this headset was not worth the price tag and you'd be better off sticking around the $80-$100 range.
