However, this headset didn't even last 6 months before it broke. It was used a lot in that time frame, but I was hoping to at least get a year out of it. The cheap xbox one has lasted years.

Once you add what the headset and the mixer cost you might as well get the Recon 600, which then gives you wireless and the ability to handle the volume issues
