However, I bought it EXCLUSIVELY because I hate having to charge a headset so I do not like wired ones. This is wired and still needs charged. If I had known that I would have purchased a wireless model or searched for a different wired model. Do not buy this if you're trying to avoid charging. Great headset, but completely pointless for it to be wired.

The Recon 200s require charging due to the fact that they are amplified headsets. In order for the amplification to work, the headset would need to be powered by a power source of some sort.
Rather than tethering you to the console or another power source via a USB cable, we placed a rechargeable battery in the headset. This allows you to only have one connection to the console's controller, rather than two (one to the console, one to the controller).

Nice Head set for for a great price

So I didn't want to spend that much more for it to happen again. So I picked up these and they do sound nice and are comfortable.

She likes them a lot. The color on them looks awesome and they sound really good and get loud enough unlike other headphones we have tried. The only thing that bothers her is after wearing them for a while, they put a little too firm pressure on her head and start to hurt. They might feel better after being broke in, but besides that they are great.

If I'm playing shooter, zombie or any game that has directionality these WORK. They're powered so they get loud and play out of the ear the enemy / teammate is closest too. It's also terrible if you're only hearing stuff out of one ear. It hasn't been too long and my friends have been saying they hear a little static here and there but I think these are solid. Just get the replacement plan

This 1 seems like it will hold up better but the texture around the ears is just not as comfortable as the cloth ones I'm used to. Also be careful to turn off when not using as it will not auto-turn off after a set time. Very cool that it works for both xbox and PS4/PS5 though unlike earlier versions of turtle beaches. Look great also.

There is nothing wrong with the sound but if you forget to charge these then they are useless. Even though you plug them in to your controller so they aren’t wireless. Maybe it’s just me but I have enough thongs in my day to day that need to be charged and I don’t want my gaming headset to be another one.
