Wired, but still needs to be charged. I don't understand this kind of design. Absolutely no cushioning for the top of your head, PLUS the headset is way too small. This couldn't even fit comfortably on the longest setting on my brother's small head. Sound quality is good, and so is the mic, but the design of this headset is horrid.

We get very few complaints about sizing or comfort issues. Due to the wide variations in head sizes and shapes, it's not possible to design a one-size-fits-all headset that will fit absolutely 100% of all users. However, we consistently provide a comfortable fit for the overwhelming majority of our customers. Please bear in mind that your headset will break in over time, which should result in a better fit after you've used it for a while.
In regard to your Recon 200 requiring charging; the headset requires charging due to the fact that it is an amplified headset. In order for the amplification to work, the headset would need to be powered by a power source of some sort.
Rather than tethering you to the console or another power source via a USB cable, we placed a rechargeable battery in the headset. This allows you to only have one connection to the console's controller, rather than two (one to the console, one to the controller).
