The Recon 200 is a amplified/powered headset. In order for the amplification to work, the headset would need to be powered by a power source of some sort.
Rather than tethering you to the console or another power source via a USB cable, we placed a rechargeable battery in the headset. This allows you to only have one connection to the console's controller, rather than two (one to the console, one to the controller).

Please know that the headset does not have to remain charging at all time. You would only need to charge the headset when its battery is low, so during that time you would only need one cable connected to the controller.

Not so Great

The sound quality for playback has an echo/hollow feel and sound to it. Very hard to explain. In addition, the microphone also gave a ton of feedback. It could have been my audio port but I didn't have issues with any other headphone/microphone combination like my Apple earpods.

Okay for starters and kids

However, we consistently provide a comfortable fit for the overwhelming majority of our customers. Please bear in mind that your headset will break in over time, which should result in a better fit after you've used it for a while.
