Customers are saying

Customers admire the Recon 200 headset's sound quality, comfort, and value for its price. Many appreciate its compatibility across multiple gaming platforms and the convenient flip-up microphone. However, some users point to issues with battery life and the wired connection. A shorter cord length and occasionally low volume were also cited as drawbacks.

To much padding. Cuts down sound. I had to cut out material to get it to work.

They're fine when they're on sale but be prepared to either buy Geek Squad protection or buy a new one after 12 months. These just don't hold up, the wiring goes bad and the connection to the controller will fail inside of 2 years. I buy the Geek Squad for a few bucks and have them replace it, constantly churning them. But for the price I guess they're OKAY

Honestly didn’t like this headset, it was really small (I have a big head) and the mic quality wasn’t very good.

I replaced another wireless headset with this one, only to find out that you MUST charge the battery on this one to use it. They do not make this clear in the description. It's a terrible "feature" and the reason why these go on sale for so cheap!

      Thanks for your feedback!

The Recon 200 GEN 1 requires charging due to the fact that they are an amplified headset. In order for the amplification to work, the headset would need to be powered by a power source of some sort. Rather than tethering you to the console or another power source via a USB cable, we placed a rechargeable battery in the headset. This allows you to only have one connection to the console's controller, rather than two (one to the console, one to the controller).

With that being said, however, is there anything in particular that we are able to assist you with? Our Support Team is always happy to help as needed, and we can be reached right from the support section of the Turtle Beach website.

I can’t tell you how much I hate you how much I hate these headphones. This was probably my fourth pair and my last pair. I will never buy this brand again over RaZR. They break easily. They’re constantly snapping off, just hanging by a string.

Good earphones for gaming, the only thing is that the mic doesn’t last long. You start having trouble real quick with it.
