Customers are saying

Customers admire the Recon 200 headset's sound quality, comfort, and value for its price. Many appreciate its compatibility across multiple gaming platforms and the convenient flip-up microphone. However, some users point to issues with battery life and the wired connection. A shorter cord length and occasionally low volume were also cited as drawbacks.

      Hey there,

Thanks for your feedback! Your Recon 200 is an amplified headset. In order for the amplification to work, the headset would need to be powered by a power source of some sort. Rather than tethering you to the console or another power source via a USB cable, we placed a rechargeable battery in the headset. This allows you to only have one connection to the console's controller, rather than two (one to the console, one to the controller).

With that being said, is there anything in particular that we are able to assist you with? Our Support Team is always happy to help as needed, and we can be reached right from the support section of the Turtle Beach website.

      Best regards! TurtleBeach

Their ok, they’re a little over priced for the quality you get. They get the job done but I wouldn’t recommend to a friend for the price personally.

For xbox one, you need an aux cable jack, which only comes in a newer controller, otherwise you need to buy an adapter.

The reason I rated this headset so low is because you have to "charge" the headset, which is so bizarre to me. I bought 3 of these online for Christmas presents for our kids and I am sure to an advanced gamer this provides some sort of functionality.....however, 10 yr olds just need a mute/unmute. Needless to say, I will be returning these.

If you don't require amplification or any of the other features required by the headset, then you should check out the the Recon 70! That is a wired headset that does not require any sort of charging and may be easier for your child to use.

If you have any questions about our headsets and their functionality, our dedicated Support Team can be reached directly from the main Turtle Beach website & would be happy to lend a helping hand as needed. TurtleBeach

Complete waste of money, bought this item in March and 1 month after purchase the mic would cut in and out. I had thrown away the box otherwise I would’ve returned it. Maybe it was just the one I bought that was defective…but it wasn’t even in sold in stores shortly after purchasing for me to exchange it for one that works (had they let me do it)
