It does not come with a long enough cord to charge it on the PC as you use it. The PC will not charge it using the 3.5mm jack. It does state on the box that it can be used with a PC. My voice had a lot of static. For the price, there are much better headsets out there.

Please be aware that the headset can not be charged via its 3.5mm connection. The headset would need to be charged via a USB cable when its battery has depleted, as the headset is an amplified headset.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn’t know I would have to charge a wired headset, There was no bass boost setting, the slider to increase mic volume doesn’t do anything buy make you hear your self, and after less than a year of use, it started making an unbearably loud noise that I had to constantly unplug in order to fix. The best part? Only my friends could hear it. They had to constantly tell me when to unplug my headset to fix it because of how loud it was. The microphone randomly stops hearing noise andI don’t even know when my friends can’t hear me. Awful headset.

The Recon 200 is an amplified headset. In order for the amplification to work, the headset would need to be powered by a power source of some sort. Rather than tethering you to the console or another power source via a USB cable, we placed a rechargeable battery in the headset. This allows you to only have one connection to the console's controller, rather than two (one to the console, one to the controller).
Our Support Team would be happy to lend a helping hand with what you're experiencing with your headset and can look in to assisting with replacement service if necessary under the aforementioned warranty. That team can be reached right from the support section of the Turtle Beach website.

I don't understand how these need to be charged because they are plugged into the xbox controller. The search continues for the next headphones.

They worked decent when I first got them, but I always heard a constant buzzing noise when I had them on. After about a year and a half, the sound has pretty much completely cut out of the right side and my wire is still completely in tact. Very upset that I've only had these for 2 years and they are already pretty much broken. I'm looking elsewhere to get a new pair since I don't trust this brand anymore.

White noise and mic quality

Immediately when I first put it on I realized that it was extremely uncomfortable and bulky . Then I plugged it in to my controller and then i heard a irritating white noise that wouldn’t go away no matter what I tried. After that I got in to a party with friends and they told me my mic quality was muffled and and bad, they even recorded and showed me. And after a couple games of fortnite a realized the product wasn’t for me and I will be returning it tomorrow
