They work on a laptop without one. My daughter wanted blue ones, instead of the PC color and these worked out great. They have cords on both sides, so if you are not used to that, takes a little remembering not to choke yourself taking them off. She has never been able to be clearly understood on the mic on Fortnite before, and these cleared that right up. I have a happy kid without spending $150.
