|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Me and my 11 year old have been going back and forth with the turtle beach recon 70 and another brand which we have been using for about a year now. There are a few differences that need to be pointed out. The turtle beach recon 70 are a little louder, but they have a much more dynamic sound which brings out a bit more detail in the games. The one feature that these have which is much better than the older set is the ability to mute the mic by simply raising it up and out of the way. I really like this feature as compared to fumbling around for a switch located on the cord someplace. The ear pads seem a little stiffer, maybe that will soften up with use, but overall these are really nice corded headset and a really good value for the retail price. I dont think anyone would be disappointed.
