Ive had this headset for 2 years its still holding up, mic sounds good, and the audio is good aswell. I would recommend this headset to anyone who’s looking for a cheap budget friendly headset for a console.

Searching for a gaming headset on the budget can be tough sometimes. When I came across the TURTLE BEACH® RECON 70 gaming headset, I was expecting more out of it. When I first pulled them out of the box, I immediately noticed that the quality wasn't all that great. I didn't think too much of it and began gaming with them. The very first thing I noticed when gaming is that the padding on the Recon 70 headset is that the padding is very thin, and got somewhat uncomfortable after a while of gaming. Another thing that I noticed was the sound quality was not very good. It lacked clarity, which was a disappointing. Something else that I noticed is that the crossover wire, which is thin, for the right ear piece is exposed in some ares (see image). This makes me worry in terms of how long this headset will last, but only time will tell. The TURTLE BEACH® RECON 70 gaming headset is lightweight and hold tight around my head. Overall, I would say that the TURTLE BEACH® RECON 70 gaming headset is more of a weekend gamer type of headset. Might also be good for parents who are looking for a budget friendly gaming headset option for their teenage gamer.

These have excellent sound for a fantastic price. I’m not sure how good the mic works, as I don’t use the mic. Most importantly for me though is that they are comfortable with glasses! It’s hard finding headphones that are comfortable with glasses.

Fairly comfortable, your ears will touch the drivers but the mic is amazingly good for the price. Edit: After having having them six months later I'm happy to say that the headphones still work just as the day they were opened. The only downside to these I would say is the fact that long gaming sessions tend to leave your ears and the top of your head with some pain as the padding on these are minimal ESPECIALLY on the headband! Other than that, great sound and an even better Mic make this a decent headphone for the pricepoint.

Overall enjoying this headset, they are comfy and have great sound. I can wear them for hours and have my glasses on with hardly any pressure points on my head. The cons: I am not a fan of how you turn the mic on and off, have to reposition the mic up and down. Also when I want to charge my controller while playing and in a party, my friends say they can hear a static/high pitched noise. I am not sure if it is the headphones doing that or just my controller/Xbox. I had no problems with my last headset. For the cost of the headset I can put up with the minor things, just had to get in the habit of charging my controller when not in a party chat.

I got this and the white/green color for both of my boys to use while playing fortnite and apex. The headset is comfortable and very adjustable. The flip to mute mice is a nice feature, just be sure to not flip it farther back than what the guide says or it can damage the mic. I wish they made the mic not be able to be pushed farther than the recommended setting so that "damage" concerns could be eliminated. The green accents fit the xbox color scheme nicely. The green cable is a nice added touch. They've reported no audio issues and their teammates can hear them clearly. These are plugged in directly to xbox wireless controllers in wireless mode (not connected to the console via USb.

For LESS than 50 dollars, I am amazed. The comfort, quality and ease of use is perfect. The flip up mic to mute comes in handy. Also, not spending too much on a headset also makes me happy. I will definatley re purchase this headset.

They fit my head very comfortably. And sound is really good! For the price you truly can't beat it

For the price, the Turtle Beach Recon 70 is a great wired headset that delivers solid sound, a clear mic, and comfortable wear across multiple platforms. If you need a budget-friendly gaming headset, this is a fantastic option.

Worth every penny, little small for a dude with a big head but it still is comfy, here's something that no one ever mentions in any review or YouTube vid, these are designed to work with windows Sonic surround so if you have an Xbox or PC these are amazing and half the cost of all other Comps, also amazing not having to recharge another device in the house just plug em in and adjust volume as well as audio options on the Xbox and you are g2g which means good to go not that other nonsense, snoogans

For the price i think these have been ecellent. comfortable; the built in mic that folds up is very convenient; everything works really well with Xbox 1 gaming. Have used them for over a month and no issues

Got my first Xbox with this headset. After 4 months, it's starting to only come out one side of the Headset & I can't hear the game no more. Voice chat works fine, but the sound effects for the game stays silent now. They worked really well when I would use them. Sound was excellent, voice was clear, couldn't hear any noise from the outside when gaming which was cool. I would recommend buying these. Not bad for the price as well

This turtle beach headset is solid. It has really good sound, it's comfortable to wear and is easy to use with the flip up mute function. The only downsides to this mic are: The noise cancelling isn't great. My air conditioner sounds shouldn't be coming through the mic. There isn't an offset angled plug in to the controller which will inevitably create a weak point in the wire. Overall it's a good headset. But i think i will spring for a more expensive one next time...one with the features that are lacking in this model.

The quality of these are just as good as the more expensive brands. Have 3 pairs one down side is the cord but for the price it was worth it. One pair I bought a year ago are cordless and my son can't hear me from 2 feet away he doesn't even know its loud it blocks all other noise out and my son is not gentle with them and a yr later they are still great. I originally went looking for recons these are just as good if not better. The cord on the other 2 are for the littler kids but same quality.

This was affordable and durable for young kids. The directions to connect to tv was a little tuff but overall can be used with gaming system. Really good with labtop also. Thank god for offering a warranty because this kid is young. Price was very reasonable.

I purchased these so my son and I could play XBOX with each other. He doesn’t live with me full time, and during the COVID-19 shutdown we, unfortunately, were not able to see each other as often as we would like. They work great, and we have been able to play various games and talk to each other for extended periods of time. He is generally awkward on the phone with anyone, but the headset made him more natural in conversation which I loved. It fit his 10-year-old head very well without much alteration and the sound quality is great on my end. I also have a Turtle Beach headset I purchased years ago, but a different model.

I bought 2 of these for my kids and they love them. They are 9 and 6 and the design is great overall, as it still has a nice fit for them. I've listened to it myself and the audio is pretty good. My only issue with them (and it may be a Microsoft issue) is that the mic stops working for no apparent reason. You can leave the game and get back into it to make it work again but who wants to go through that. All in all, it is made pretty well. Definitely worth it for the price.
