These headset are trash. Bought this at the beginning of the pandemic, and worked okay for a couple of months. I also use them for work, and now everyone complains all they hear is static when I'm un muted.

I bought his and only used it for a day. The product is all plastic and it felt very cheap, like it would break very easily, I returned it, I recommend you buy other brand than turtle beach.

Worked for a little while, but then started to become staticky. I wasn't able to hear my game and not able to communicate to my teammates. Ended up returning this headset to Best Buy.

I just bought it, and it’s not detecting it most of the time, it’s really affordable compare to other headsets but it’s also low quality

I bought this in a week was broken I put a insurance thank God than I exchange everything was good i put a insurance now they said is not insurance put on it and want to charge us the whole amount, I've been a customer with best buy for years long long time and for them to do this is what i call BS they need to fixed this and stop giving people more aggravation that they already have, i did put insurance and this need to be investigated more, ashamed on you guys !! I know there are more expensive gaming headsets, but the Turtle Beach – RECON 70 should be considered as one of your top choices. It has many great features which are often only offered on much more expensive headsets. It fits nicely over the ears and because of its ergonomic shape, padding and light weight design is very comfortable for long time gaming. The headphones offer a deep strong base sound and with its high quality 40 mm speakers, chatting is excellent. The mic seems to work very well as friends said that they could hear our voices clearly. The headset is designed so that the mic can be flipped up in order to provide a mute. The base sound is deep and solid, and the headset is equipped with surround sound technology which really allows the gamer to feel integral to the game while being able to sense action around them and react accordingly while gaming. We have been using the headset mostly with Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It also works with PS4 Pro and PS4, PC and would probably work with most technical gadgets with a 3.5 mm headset jack. The Turtle Beach RECON 70 is a very well-designed gaming headset for a very affordable price. I would recommend that you strongly consider it when evaluating which headset to purchase.

I have tested and bought several pairs of gaming headsets of different makes, models, and from different manufacturers. I am a bit bias and must openly admit, I really like the value and quality of Turtle Beach. These are no exception and for the right person would make a great little set to have. First, I want anyone purchasing them to understand these are NOT the high-end hear everything model headset. If you are looking for a completely submersible experience, these are not the droids you are looking for. If you are wanting a good inexpensive pair of headphones that will perform well enough to make a difference in your game play, not blow your eardrums out, and allow you to easily setup and chat with friends; then these are perfect for you or yours. I have two sets laying around of this model. One, as just a back for mine if or when something happens to my higher end model (different brand and model value). The other, so my kids can play and I don’t have to feel like a terrible parent for not wanting to hear the game they are playing and not having to charge that "Want" at the cost of their hearing. These are strong well built, very comfortable, WORK, and will last. Maybe not for the hardcore gamer but a nice starter to get you going.

My friends kept saying they couldn’t hear me that I needed to speak louder. Kept having to adjust the wire to fix it the issue. Moved on from them

Very poor audio quality, sound crackled with any movement of the wire right out of the box.

This mic sucks. It doesn’t work that great, and now it was a waste of money since I had to buy a new one. It’s terrible.

I've been using these to play mostly shooters like Apex Legends and they are great! The Windows Sonic compatibility adds a great surround sound aspect to them, which helps to locate enemies around you that you can't see just yet. The bass is just the right amount of booming and the sound isolation is good too. They're also quite comfortable and fit my head well. I would definitely recommend these, especially at their entry-level price point. The only con I can come up with is that it has a flip-up-to-mute mic. This seems cool in theory, and headsets I've used in the past have had this too, but in reality it can be kind of tricky if you're trying to play, but need to mute yourself quickly (like for a cough or sneeze) since it requires you to take a hand off the controller. I would've preferred a mute button you can press with your thumb quick like the standard xbox chat headset. Honestly though, that shouldn't keep you from getting these headphones. They're worth it.

This mic broke down like all the rest of them do. It started messing up as soon as it was too late to return it to the store. These headphones are not quality at all. Best Buy will just make you buy a new one since it’s past the return date. This is my 4th mic buying there. I am starting to think it’s a scam job. Why is Best Buy so comfortable selling products that won’t last.

I've used this headset for years between my xbox one and my pc once I got an adapter, and I've gotta say it's pretty sturdy and reliable considering the amount of times i've thrown it or caught it on the side of my desk without it breaking or even being slightly disfunctional. The mic I've heard from friends isn't bad for just like a console headset but I think the audio works well for everything including games that need spatial audio.

The microphone stopped working after two months. Previously Best Buy processed manufacturer warranty for the year. However, Best Buy acted like I was crazy and they’ve never done it. But I’ve returned things there for years under the manufacturer warranty. Huge pitb going through the manufacturer. Especially during Covid as they are short staffed.

Cheaply made, still not worth the money spent this is the third pair.

This is my son's third Turtle Beach headset. The more expensive ones both broke but at least he was able to use them for about a year. This inexpensive model broke in just over two months. We will are going to try a different brand.

After trying some cheaper, off-brand headsets, we've been working our way up. We have a previous Turtle Beach model (the Recon 50), and we really like the Recon 70 much better! A big improvement from the Recon 50 is that the volume control is at the back of the base of the left ear and that there is an auto-mute function when you flip up the microphone (instead of the in-line controls). Also, it is a sing wire going to the left side, making it easier to put on. The sound quality is great and the headset is lightweight and very comfortable. We also have another well-known gaming brand headset, and these feel much better when wearing them. One thing to notice is that you can get this great sounding, feeling headset for a really great price!

Audio is low an has no surround sound is pretty basic.

I am writing this review coming from owning a pair of Stealth 700. The Recon 70 was packaged nicely as I expected. The headset itself is lightweight and will not cause fatigue due to its weight however I they did not feel as "roomy" as the other headset. I felt more squeezed wearing this headset. They are circumaural which is nice so you don't get that irritation of drivers resting on your ear. The construction is plastic and seems not as sturdy as the Stealth 700 however they seem appropriate for its price point. The wire does seem a little more sturdy than other wired sets I have used. The Recon 70 only has one dial to adjust sound. There are no separate controls to adjust sound vs voice although I wish there were. The sound quality is crisp and clear however the mids and highs tend to be more prominent. The bass could definitely afford to be deeper. When I asked users who I was speaking with through the headphones they definitely noticed a difference in how my voice sounded. The headset's mic flips up and down to engage/mute and the other users could hear me toggling the mic. They also noticed some "vibration" when I spoke and one said I sounded "plasticky". Overall, the headset is a quality product at its price point. The sound quality is good but could be more bassy. The mic serves its purpose but is clearly not as high quality as its wireless big brother. Construction is appropriate. My only complaint is having one volume dial instead of separate ones for voice and sound. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for a wired headset at this price point.

These were cool at first, but after some weeks noticed that there would be an issue with the cord where it plugs in. You had to set the cord a certain way to make contact or else one side of the headset wouldn’t work. Definitely not worth the price.
