Thanks for your feedback. Your headset should break in over time, which should result in a better fit after you've used it for a while.

If you find yourself in need of further assistance; our Support Team is always happy to help as needed, and they can be reached right from the support section of the Turtle Beach website. TurtleBeach

      Hey KingCurtis,

We’re sorry to hear about the experience you had with your Recon Chat headset. It should provide you with Chat Audio when connected to your console's controller. With that being said, our headsets are each sold with a one-year manufacturer's warranty and we have a dedicated Support Team available to provide assistance under that warranty as needed. That team can be reached right from the support section of the Turtle Beach website. We'd suggest reaching out to them for assistance with this.

      Thanks! TurtleBeach

Cheap design. You have to assemble it by feeding the headband through the "ear cup", like a belt & buckle. There is no play/pivot to the "ear-cup", so it doesn't rest comfortable over your ear. For me, no matter how I adjust the headband, the ear-cup falls on an angle (instead of flat), creating a pressure point under my ear. I bought the Turtle Beach headset to replace a "TRITTON Kaiken Mono Chat Headset", which has been discontinued. The Tritton headset was also $20, and was leaps & bounds better quality. Will be returning.

Someone got this for my son for Christmas. He has used many Gaming Headsets in the past, some good, some bad. That being said, when he took this out of the box I knew we were in for something bad. The earcup is a giant open cone , so you can hear everything outside, providing NO noise isolation. Sure many people might be going for this, but not many. The ones that would utilize this functionality for esports or competitive gaming (which this is branded as being). However, no pro gamer I know would be caught dead with this on their head, let's be honest. The headband is a tightly wound piece of plastic that grabs and pulls your hair, and there is little-to-no cushioning on the earcup itself. My son is 9 years old, and It was difficult for him to respectively smile and thank while attempting to use this piece of trash. And they paid $20 bucks? I'm a former Headphone buyer for a large electronics retailer , and I can simply tell you that the cost to make this product is far less than a couple dollars. $20. Wow. Spend the extra $20 and don't torture your child with this.

Pros: It works. Cons: Uncomfortable. Audio from friends too quite even with all volume setting on PS4 maxes and headset volume wheel on high.. Purchased last night, will be returning today. Paid $20...should not have cost more than $10.

Had it for a couple of months, it was working good until the volume tab to make it go lower or higher just wasn’t working good as before. I can barely hear anyone at all when I play Game . Tried all the setting on my Ps4 and still nothing . You pay what you get honestly.

This is only $20 and that's what you get. I got it for my wife because we like to play on separate PS4s somewhat regularly and she doesn't like not being able to hear the kids if they wake up so this works perfectly.

Gravel, tin can and a string

Out on a trip and really needed a quick semi-functional set. Gravel, tin can and a string would work better. The soft part against the ear is rigid rigid foam. The headset comes in two pieces. The part over the head is super uncomfortable. BTW my kids used headsets that are made for children and barely function would be a welcome sight on this trip.

Definitely get what you pay for with this one. The mic is flimsy and doesn’t stay put, you can feel how cheaply it’s been made and it’s very uncomfortable. I’d return it but it’s not worth the drive.
