The Turtle Beach 500 is a great headset if you want to seamlessly switch between gaming devices connected via USB and bluetooth devices (Phone, Nintendo Switch). Great noise isolation and deep rich bass.
-= In the Box =-
In the box is the Turtle Beach Stealth 500, a USB A to USB C cable, and a small USB A dongle. There are also foam packing inserts. I have to call this out, as they're black and sit so tightly in the headset that I didn't notice they were there until I couldn't work out why the headset wouldn't sit flat - then realized it was me not seeing the foam inserts!
-= First Impressions =-
The Turtle Beach Stealth 500 is extremely light weight. It doesn't look cheap thanks to the matte black finish, but it doesn't look premium - it just looks like a good quality headset (which it is). There are volume controls for both the headphones and the microphone, a mode button for adjusting EQ, a quick switch button to swap between BlueTooth and wireless mode, power, and a USB C plug. There's no mute, because you can quickly mute the headset by flicking the microphone up.
-= Setup =-
To use the Turtle Beach Stealth 500, on a PC (at least) it's best to download the free Turtle Beach Swarm software. This will pair the Stealth 500 with the dongle and also install any necessary firmware updates. In my case, there were firmware updates for both the dongle and the headset itself - taking about 3-5 minutes. There's no registration required for the software (yay!). Bluetooth Pairing was easier, the voice prompts are clear and it shows up as a Stealth 500P on any bluetooth device.
-= What's Good =-
What's good - amazing bass and the noise isolation is one of the best I have seen. When playing a game, I couldn't hear others in the room, which shows you just how good it is. The voice is clear and in test game play and calls (over Discord) everyone thought my voice sounded clean and clear. The Stealth 500 is very comfortable. Even though there is no slide adjustment, you can adjust the headband in a way to get the perfect fit.
-= What's Not So Good =-
Not a deal breaker, but I do like a headset which has a place to stow the dongle when not in use. Maybe because it's because I mainly game from a laptop. I wish the volume controls were a little wider. If you're a gamer that sometimes needs to have one ear cup open while playing, the fact the cups don't slide might bother you - even if the fit is perfect.
-= Final Thoughts =-
I love that the Stealth 500 easily switches between devices. The split between Bluetooth and wireless means I have been using it on my Nintendo Switch more than my PC. But I can also see myself using it to switch between my phone and gaming, when I am playing Helldivers in the evening and I get that inevitable call from work with some crisis. Hahaha

I’ve been using the wireless Turtle Beach headset for a few weeks now, and I can confidently say it has exceeded my expectations in every way. From build quality to performance, this headset delivers an exceptional audio experience.
Sound Quality:
The audio is crystal-clear, with rich bass and detailed highs. Whether I’m gaming, watching movies, or listening to music, the sound immersion is excellent. The 3D spatial audio support is a game-changer for competitive play—it’s like having a radar for footsteps and direction.
Wireless Performance:
The wireless connection is rock solid. No drops, no lag, and the range is impressive—I can walk around my apartment without losing signal. The headset connects quickly and stays connected with zero fuss.
Comfort:
Long sessions? No problem. The ear cushions are soft, breathable, and fit snugly without causing pressure. The adjustable headband is durable and fits securely without being tight.
Mic Clarity:
The microphone is clear and responsive, with noise-cancellation that cuts out background chatter. My teammates say I come through loud and clear every time.
Battery Life:
Battery life is another strong point. I’m consistently getting over 15 hours on a single charge, and it recharges quickly with the included USB-C cable.
Design & Build:
The headset looks sleek and feels premium. The controls are intuitive and easy to access while gaming. The flip-to-mute mic is a small feature, but I love the convenience.
⸻
Final Verdict:
Turtle Beach nailed it with this wireless headset. It’s perfect for serious gamers, streamers, or anyone who wants top-tier audio without the wires. Highly recommended!

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but these headphones really surprised me. I paid around $80 and they sound better than many more expensive ones I’ve tried. The bass is solid, the vocals are clear, and there’s no distortion even at high volume. They’re super comfortable to wear for long periods and the battery lasts a ton. Whether it’s for gaming, music, or watching shows, they perform amazingly well. For what I paid, they’re honestly too good. Highly recommended.

You pay for what you get. This headset is really, really comfortable for me. Great battery life and only needs to be charged once every 3-4 games. For those who play fps shooters, the sound quality is great and the super human hearing is even better. Now lets talk about some of the bad things. The headset is really fragile compared to Astros or Hyperx. The muffs can come off very easily and hard to put back on. The muffs can also be hard to wear for people with larger heads/ears. It does have a flexible band to adjust but still could be a problem for a few people. All in all this headset is great definitely would buy again.

So I got this headset after having a wired one for quite some time The wired one I have still works I just wanted something more convenient with less wires I've been using this headset for a little over a month and I have to say turtle Beach products are still doing their thing The sound is pristine I play a lot of call of duty and single player adventure games and it's like I'm in the game. I also like the fact that the mic can be turned off just by putting the mouthpiece to the headset and then turning it back on as easily as pulling it back out it has a nice snug comfortable fit highly recommend.

Solid gaming headset at a solid price point

The name Turtle Beach is synonymous with gaming audio, however some may question if it’s based on quantity over quality. After spending some time with the Turtle Beach Stealth 500 gaming headset, I can confirm that Turtle Beach has a winner at a solid price-point.
Two major issues I’ve had with previous Turtle Beach headsets have been build quality, and design. The Stealth 500s definitely make up for that this time around. The overall design is smooth. When the microphone is tucked away these headphones look more like high end audio headphones then a gaming headset. While the build quality doesn’t give off indestructible vibes, it definitely doesn’t feel like the headphones may snap putting them on my head. The cushions on the ear definitely do their job as I’ve games with these for a couple hours with no discomfort. One design issue I did have is the amount of buttons and the button placement. Normally, buttons on gaming headsets are located in the same area of the headset. They may alternate right or left ear, but buttons came normally be found on the inner ring of the right or left side of the headset. These buttons however are located on the outer ring (shown in an attached picture). And there are lots of buttons. There’s a button just for syncing via Bluetooth, whereas most Bluetooth devices would normally just have you hold a button that exists for a regular function. I do like that “tuck the mic to mute it” feature which keeps the headset from requiring another button.
In terms of sound quality, the Stealth 500s are adequate. Noise isolation on this headset is good, almost to the point of noise cancellation. I will say though, when I originally used the headset I felt the volume was a little low…then I tried out the “superhuman” mode, which, essentially just increased the volume to what I’m used to. While the overall sound quality wasn’t superb, at the price-point these are listed as it worked well enough for me to use directional audio to determine where footsteps were coming from in competitive first person shooters.
The Turtle Beach Stealth 500 headset is a great option for gamers who aren’t looking to break the bank, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone look for a solid gaming headset that won’t cost them an arm and a leg.

I primarily use Astros for my PC but also like to use less elaborate ones for my Switch/laptop. I liked this since it was wireless and considerably smaller than my other headsets. Functionality wise, pretty much on par with other low/mid level Turtle Beach headsets.
Nothing really out of the ordinary with these. As with most other Turtle Beach low/mid range wireless headsets, this is a pretty inexpensive gaming headset with some features but not quite as premium as their top tier headsets.
The fit? Not too bad. I have a large head so finding good sized headsets is a problem. This one fits kinda snug on me even after adjusting the head band. The earcups on this don't extend like others do so they're fixed and the only adjustment you can make is through the headband. The headband just snaps into place (3 different positions) for your fit. Even on the last one, the headset is pretty snug but not TOO snug where it's uncomfortable.
Takes a bit getting used to the button layout on the headset. If you're used to using TB then it shouldn't be an issue but if you've used other brands then, yeah, will need to learn that layout.
The sound? Average I'd say. Not great but not low end. You can fine tune the sound through their application with your usual treble/bass and such. I found the sound to be sorta muted like it wasn't quite tuned properly out of the box so you need to fiddle around with settings to make it work. This being a low/mid level headset, I kinda expected this so not too surprised.

Got these as a Christmas present for my phone for his game systems and desktop gaming/streaming, we tried to set them up on multiple devices and had no luck unfortunately! I’m sure they work great when they can connect, (they did connect for a few moments) and the little we could use it they sounded clear, the different type of connections was cool to and the distance the wireless options give were solid. Also were inexpensive for what’s offered! They felt solid all around and comfortable with the material, very sturdy.

The sound quality is great, they sit on your ears very comfortably, and the cushioning is great. The only problem (and it's completely personal) is the adjustable strap, even the highest setting leaves the headset sitting too high on my ears. This, of course, can be taken out and make it more comfortable
