Still a big fan of the turtle beaches. I love that there are different modes to increase how intense it amplifies noises. You can hear people sneak up behind you in war zone!

The headset does feature Mic Monitoring, which can allow you to hear you own voice to avoid yelling during chat.
You can activate Mic Monitoring by using the the Audio Hub application on a Windows or Mac PC.

He's had other headsets that were wired and the cord would always get in the way. He has loved this headset so far. He says that the sound quality is great and loves not getting wrapped up in the cord! Really great buy!

There are small quality of life features that I do miss from the 700 series (a better dedicated mike feedback vs audio feedback, a battery life notification on start up and better earpiece comfort to name a few) but the sound quality overall is good and I am not disappointed with the product for the price point.

Easy controls on the side allow me to focus on game audio or party audio. Works real well on cancelling outside noise. More expensive headsets were more troublesome than this one
