The sound is fine, unable to figure out if I'm able to lower the background noise to those I'm chatting with. Seems like there is no volume control between party and gameplay. Sometimes I get feedback from friends that I'm speaking too low and then suddenly, goes back to normal. Comfort level is a 7/10.

Great headset for the everyday player

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Is a great headset love the audio one down fall is that you lose a USB port on your PlayStation 4 when using this headset and it also has trouble connecting to the PlayStation 4 sometimes but the audio is stunning and crisp and the microphone picks up your voice very well so the people you are talking to have no problem hearing you and the noise canceling feature is one of the best I have had for gaming.

What happened?

My wife bought these for me for my birthday roughly 8 weeks ago. These are the 3rd pair of turtle beach headsets that I have owned (stealth 500 and stealth 400). The sound was crystal clear and mic worked really well. Over the last two weeks I have noticed a sharp decline in performance. I need to be within roughly 4 feet of my playstation for them to stay conencted, they frequently drop connection forcing me to power cycle the headset and remove the usb dongle and my mic has recently started to randomly turn my voice into that of a 13-year-old pre-pubesent boy. I'm pretty surprised at these recent issues seeing as I have owned a few of the other pairs without any problems.

The only downside for me, and this is probably personal preference, but my old gen 1 headset had a voice explaining to me the different audio styles when i selected them, this one just has different beeps variations. I wish they kept the voice!!!
