These weren't an upgrade. I had connection and update issues on my Xbox Series X. Returned this. I am sure that it would sound great, but not sure how much of an improvement over my last set.

The headset would not be capable of being updated via the Xbox Series X console, so that may explain the difficulty you had. The headset would need to be updated via a PC or Mac with our Audio Hub program installed as mentioned within the headset's Quick Start Guide.
